5 weeks ago Travis posted a photo on instagram of 10,000 CD cases he signed and that sticker wasnt on the actual case so I would say just a sticker.

 

I had no idea stores get the albums this early. It's a wonder things don't leak earlier.

 

What's the story behind this? Some store employee posted it somewhere or what?

 

I don't know about music, but videogames never get to stores this early.

The reason for Tuesday releases (at least I think so) was primarily shipping based - ie. if you ship things out on, say, Thursday, you would get it by Saturday, and if something went wrong, you'd have Monday as "wiggle room"


This definitely seems early and will definitely leak this week.

okay so I ordered the new blink album from this site called importcds and they have the album in stock. so I chose two-day shipping, right? So I'm not even sure if they send out the album when they get it or if they wait closer to the release date. They didn't mention anything about preorders on their FAQ page either. Also within the last few years, they've gotten like 2 good reviews. I'm terrified.

 

Ah ok. That's kind of what I figured. I'm sure we'll see a lot of pictures like that from here on out. Stores are getting shipments (I haven't heard anyone mention the US yet thought, just the UK), so pictures of sealed copies will be floating around. Now, we just deal with the odds of some hero "borrowing" a copy, actually taking it home, ripping it, THEN taking the gamble of putting it out there for everyone online. I don't know if something like that will happen quickly. It's a toss up.

 

I feel like sites with shitty reviews might be the only way you'll get a copy early. Of course, you may never get it all too. haha Thanks for taking the bullet though.

 

I mean, I know I'll get it. But the site doesn't even mention when they ship out preorders, haha. I was hoping if I chose the two-day shipping option, I might get it early. Who knows

I still haven't preordered the album. I'm not sure where I want to get it. I wish Amazon had the AutoRip feature for it. I love buying physical albums and getting the digital copy free on my Amazon Music account. They may add it after release. We'll see. Part of me wants to walk in a store and buy it like I've done with every blink release.

 

Does anyone have a list of what variants are available where? I have orders from the purple pre-order and Amazon. What variant is Amazon? Is anyone selling a 180g still? Can I get the red variant by itself - ie. not in an expensive package like on KingsRoad?

 

well, in my history of ordering stuff online, there wasn't really an issue at all, haha. Just saw the album there for less!

 

I use Amazon every now and then. I think they are the best when it comes to online shopping. I have every blink release except for Buddha and MTAT live album. I've bought the albums all from an HMV in Canada. I think I might get a second copy of California because I want that experience of being able to pick up a blink-182 album and feeling like I've achieved something in life, haha.

 

This is why I preordered lol. Most albums I buy digitally now, and of course I want California on my MP3 player. But, blink I still buy physical to hold and have in the collection

 

I still have my original MTAT CD, but I saw it for $12 on Amazon and texted a friend who bought it immediately. That was in the US though. I'm sure you've looked around for it.

 

I actually remember buying Neighborhoods on the day it came out. I had just finished school for the day too. I had never been more excited, haha.

 

I've never really been on the hunt for it honestly mainly because I know I wouldn't be able to find it. But now that you've mentioned it, I may look for it soon, haha.

That sentence is actually meaningless. Yes, of course, when the album is out we'll no longer have suspicions about what the new songs will be like. CAUSE WE CAN HEAR THEM.
