I think I had a coconut conversation with my siblings a few weeks ago over dinner at my parents and i am the only one who will not eat anything with coconut in it. however...bring on the coconut rum. all day every day.

 

That's braised chuck roast. There's all kinds of gravy.. beef, turkey, chicken, can make it with a ton of red or white wine... so many options. that's my point!

 

How do you eat meatloaf without Gravy? you heathens.

 

I like coconut flavor but the texture of coconut is like chewing cardboard.

Hmm not the first thing I do but I always get a Grandma Pie from this great Pizza place called rusillos with my best buddy I do a podcast with. I also make my mom get me a bagel every morning on her way back from the gym. Lol. The bagels are insanely better there

Something I wish people understood about being a picky eater is that at least for me it’s almost 100% tied in with my sensory processing issues and is entirely depending on the texture.

I lived in NC and they didn't have good bagels or pizza there either but they also didn't have deli's as we think of them up here.

 

I feel ya on the texture. Do you not like pulled meats in general? Pork, chicken, etc.

 

I used to be picky, as I got older I started trying things. Like Hummus, I wouldn't touch that shit when I was a kid.

3 years ago when I was pregnant for a short time (another story for another time) Its all i craved. 3 weeks straight. and I still love the stuff.

Coconut texture is nasty. Oatmeal....I can't.

So I get it.
