    Things have changed.

An Enema anniversary with Matt is something I do NOT want.

Matt SLAYED Enema songs when I saw them at Soma and Musink a few years back.

That said...I just want new music more than anything else at this point.

I’d be down for this. 1000%.

    Also agree with this

I would NOT be surprised if we get a “20 years of Enemas” shirt with a limited edition /182 poster for the 20th anniversary of EOTS. And that’s it.

This would be amazing. I'd hit up multiple dates of that Enema tour.

I wouldn’t want Matt for an Enema tour and Tom wouldn’t be good enough for it. With the new album on the way they probably won’t do any anniversary tour.

  7. I bet they'll just play the 6 songs and then maaaaaybe a cover. I doubt they're headlining so i bet they'll only have a 30-40 minute set.

People wanting Tom back are so weird. He does not care about the band. It’s done.

    TOM. IS. OUT.

  12. I wouldn't have an interest in seeing Matt play an anniversary tour for Enema
I wouldn't have an interest in having Tom come back to just play an Enema tour
I've seen 10/12 Enema of the State songs live multiple times, so I'm good.
It's the album that got me into the band, but honestly those shows wouldn't feel special to me because I've seen them play most of the songs a bunch of times.
I agree with our friend who predicts them putting out a tee shirt to celebrate.

    Merch, for sure
    Tour, not for sure

It would be cool if they just sprinkled in 2 more enema songs than they usually play when they go on a tour for the new album. That way they can acknowledge the anniversary while looking ahead.

Mark, Tom and Travis have posted and tagged each other in IG posts in the past before the most recent one by Mark. The last one I remember was Mark posting about the Untitled album anniversary back in November. Tom has been known to post pictures of blink from time to time randomly or when he’s trying to promote something.

Really much to do about nothing.

Even with Tom....the “good’ol” blink days are long gone and there’s no going back. Since the initial reunion it’s never been the same. It will never be the same again and it will never be recreated, even through special reunions or anniversary shows. That blink is dead.

....At least it will never be the same for the blink version/era that influenced me the most....

Thankfully those albums still hold up today and still give me what they did when they first came out.

They just need to keep pumping out new music and creating the same blink-buzz they did with California no matter the style of music. I have so many good memories involving that album and I can’t wait to see what the next album does for me.

Shit, I’ll be married by the time the next blink-era happens and that excites the hell out of me lol.

You’re not wrong sadly. I think @TheJMan and I literally posted evidence of this of a DM he sent me two years ago saying that all this thread talks about are these few things...and they were the things that keep cycling even today

Blink-issues. Kinda like daddy-issues, but band related. This band did it to us.

They were great to us in the beginning. Then they abandoned us with a nasty break up. Then they half-assed came back into our lives when we got older and a little more mature. Then they never followed up with promises and kept their distance until Skiba, the step-parent, came into the picture and slowly started developing a relationship with us....shits real.

It's a classic blink thread rehashed discussion but I still think "missing" Tom is reasonable just because he sang half of the songs and changing the singer is a big difference to the vibe of a band. That's aside from actually writing the songs so any new music is only sort of "blink 182" anyway since it's a new person doing it.

I say that as a fan of member changing specialists Taking Back Sunday who likes the Fred albums more than the John albums but if Adam was replaced and they still called themselves TBS it would be weird just because he's been at the forefront of every song.

Wanting Tom back is really weird.

Like, think about it for two seconds. You want Mark and Travis to once again work with someone who constantly created road blocks to getting things done the last time and who painfully quit the band (twice). I mean, come on. It seems like they are at least okay with each other. Why make shit go down? You really want to put them through that again so Tom can butcher songs he wrote 20 years ago? Fuck that shit.

I'm not gonna jump fully into this conversation because frankly it's all pretty ridiculous, but I do want to dispute that California sold WAY more than Neighborhoods.

Granted it's 8 years vs 3, and Cali has done better overall, but the difference isn't huge

    Neighborhoods: 365k units to date
    California: 409k units to date
