Totally disagreeing with all of the negative Anthem reviews. This is my favorite game of the year so far. I'm really, really enjoying myself. Also, I think playing with friends makes a huge difference - if I wasn't communicating with them and was just playing it solo with others online where they are basically no different than NPC's, I feel like it wouldn't be half as fun.

I've been telling all my friends to expect Watch Dogs 3 this year for a while. I feel like Ubisoft is looking at the success of GTA Online and they want to recreate it. That's why it'll be three years between 2 and 3 - they've been taking that time to really flesh it out. I'm expecting a full open world with tons of things to do, property to own, big online experience, etc. Really excited to hear about it at E3.

I'm always down for games set in London. Watch Dogs 2 was pretty good too, way better than 1.

I don't think there is a better feeling for me in gaming then when I have a great Issac run going

I’d play Watch Dogs London. It’s also perfect because London is already way too far down the surveillance and “security” hole. No hate to the London peeps here, not your fault.

I couldn’t get into Watch Dogs sadly.

Watch dogs was pretty average but showed great promise. Watch dogs 2 was great fun though, if they can expand on that more and if it’s true about it being set in a London that’ll be a day 1 purchase for me.

It’s been ages since we’ve had a big game set in a modern London and as someone who lives near there (and knows it fairly well) I always love to see how games developers present a busy city like that. Plus like Lucky Moose says we have a ridiculous amount of surveillance here in the UK (and especially London) so it’s definitely an ideal location for a game like WD.

I just did a drunk Isaac run last night, that game is so perfect for random runs. Between the original and Rebirth I have like 250 hours in that game.

Yeah I'm approaching around 200. It's the only game I can easily turn to once every few weeks without hesitation.

Ubisoft needs to work on their online infrastructure in general before they try something like GTA Online

Nearing the end of the Witcher 3. Forgot how great the last 5-10 hours are. Can’t wait to do blood and wine for the first time afterwards

Just finished Metro Exodus. Great game.

Crackdown 3 unsurprisingly got crapped on. But I'm trying to figure out game critics approach to their reviews. Anthem has a terrible story, technical issues everywhere, and a bad gameplay loop. Crackdown has a forgettable story, it actually functions really well, and the gameplay loop is solid. How are they getting similar review scores? Lol. Either Crackdown 3 is being underrated at a 6/10 or Anthem is being overrated at a 6/10.

I watched a video of a guy who was complaining about how the game didn’t look like the E3 reveal and I was like “It was a pre-rendered trailer, my dude”

I think I'm going to take a big step and start a second game while already playing another one. Hell, might even start a third game. This is huge.

I saw angry joe commented on that in his review and he had a really good review besides that blunder.

LOL I'm playing Lufia 2 on the SNES Classic and I just started Lunar 2 on the PS Classic. Gonna start either Suikoden 2 or Legend of Dragoon next.

Are we talking about anthem? Because that trailer starts with „running in engine on an Xbox one x“ in big bold letters.

    As for crackdown ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    A (Cancelled) Dork Prestigious

"Running in-engine" is just a buzz phrase that publishers seized on in the wake of people (rightly) criticizing pre-rendered trailers as being false advertising. The kind of thing Microsoft pulled with the Halo 2 reveal back in the day, for example. It lets them show footage that is tightly scripted and polished like hell solely for the purposes of making the game look as a good as possible while also allowing them to avoid being criticized for pre-rendered footage. So it's not the same thing as being pre-rendered but it's pretty close. I think that's what DarkHotline probably meant. Because there's no way that Anthem footage existed in a build of the game that was running the full extent of its open world.

Honestly I'm playing the game on a PS4 Pro and it doesn't look like the actual live game was that much of a downgrade from the E3 footage. It's still a really good-looking game.
