So I modded my PS Classic and put the following games on it:

Arc The Lad
Star Ocean 2
Lunar Silver Star
Tactics Ogre
Vandal Hearts
Kartia
Suikoden 2
Legend of Dragoon
Breath of Fire 3
Valkyrie Profile
Legend of Mana
Tales of Destiny 1 & 2
Dragon Warrior 7
Persona 2

Trying to decide what to start with. I haven't played Legend of Dragoon, Arc The Lad, Lunar Silver Star (played the GBA port), Vandal Hearts, Kartia, Legend of Mana, Persona, either Tales games, Dragon Warrior 7, or Suikoden 2. I think I've narrowed it down to the following:

Legend of Dragoon
Lunar Silver Star
Suikoden 2
Tales of Destiny

Also Arc The Lad looks cool but I don't know a thing about it. Thoughts? Suggestions? Comments? Threats?

I really don’t see that happening. The One X doesn’t even make money and is still too expensive for many. I might very well be wrong, but we’ll see.

 

Yeah we’ll have to see what happens at E3 but I can’t see how Microsoft is gonna market another super-powered console less than 2 years after the One X launch.

 

Fall 2020 was the earliest most agreed the next generation of consoles would launch. What's most surprising to me about this is that they would announce them at this year's E3. That's earlier than I was expecting for the announcement. I guess they're expecting this E3 to be really light on new content, especially exclusive content, so they're pushing the announcement up to generate hype and to not have their reveal upstaged by Sony (who won't be there).

As for the pricing, if they do announce the consoles this year I don't think they're going to talk about that yet regardless of what the rumor says. They definitely don't want to give Sony the chance to undercut their price point again.

 

2020 just seems wild to me. I really don’t think the numbers point towards that compared to past generations, let alone other developments.

 

To be fair base consoles are struggling especially the Xbox one.

 

The ps4 isn’t struggling it’s projected to pass the all time sales of the wii and the original PlayStation and only trail 2 handhelds by Nintendo and the ps2

I won a code for Anthem (and UnExplored) on Xbox from Major Nelson’s weekly “Freecodefriday” contest on Twitter. Huzzah!

Started playing a couple hours of it on my wife’s PC since she just started EA Originpass or whatever it’s called, but that’s her computer. So now I can play in my preferred spot in the living room. Wasn’t going to buy it for myself anytime soon but this is cool.

 

Microsoft have to realise at this point that console gamers need good exclusives(Fable) to justify buying their consoles right

 

They did just buy like 6-9 studios.

I'm excited to see what comes out of Ninja Theory and Obsidian now that Microsoft owns them. I don’t really care about the rest of their studios.

Playground Games: Forza Horizon series

Ninja Theory: Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, Heavenly Sword, DmC: Devil May Cry

Undead Labs: State of Decay series

4 out of 7 are above average or great studios, that hardly "sucks".

Also, think about how much better their games could be with proper funding and management.
