my cousin texted me last night saying that i'm going to hate the next quest in far cry new dawn. he had to quit and couldn't do it alone. we've only finished one quest so i'm really really curious how far they go

 

Haven’t played anything but Apex Legends since it came out! Having such a blast on it.

I genuinely don’t think I’ll be buying another game until The Last of Us II now. Recently completed Spider-Man and it’s DLCs, got 100% on Red Dead Redemption 2 and deleted COD BLOPS 4 because Apex does BR better in every single possible way, and is free. Thankfully I only paid 15 quid for it.

All this talk of Japan is exciting for me - I’m moving there from the UK in ~24 days!

 

Kind of wild how Tetris 99 is the only video game that exists

 

I adore that game. I bought it twice haha. It’s absolutely excellent with a good pair of headphones. I swear a piece of me died when I saw the upcoming Alien game was going to be a bloody mobile game.

It’s been dirt cheap on PSN lately though. Think it’s gone as low as 6 quid?

Gonna be interesting to see how Sony reacts. For some reason they seem to want nothing to do with cross platform unless they are forced to do it. Awesome to see Microsoft and Nintendo so willing to work together

I couldn’t believe it. After getting far cry 5 for 15 a few weeks ago and now this I’m gonna have to hop over to GameStop like every day after work just to see what sales they’ve got going

 

Finished bioshock. It was pretty great but I was kind of like “is that it?” at the end but I think I got a bad ending because I harvested every single little sister

i have a bunch of friends working/living there so I have some idea what a normal day is like.

 

I'd argue that's everything to do with them being the market leaders, and Microsoft having previously shafted them when Sony pushed for it last generation. They don't need to do it, from a financial perspective.

 

Has anyone actually picked up Anthem? Bought it today because I traded in Spider-Man and got it half price (had 2 copies of SM) and will get online later.

 

BioShock is literally one of my favourite games ever. The realisation moment near the end made my jaw drop. The world they created (Rapture) is aesthetically and thematically one of the best in all of gaming, in my opinion. Loved nearly everything about that game, bar the unnecessary boss at the end. But the rest of the game makes up for that. I was crushed when they announced Infinite was in the sky. A crumbling underwater city full of maniac, spliced-up addict artists is an infinitely (hehe) better concept than a city in the sky. There's a much bigger sense of dread and a vastly better atmosphere in the dark confines of Rapture than there is in Infinite's sky city (was it called Columbia? I forget because I can't stand it haha)

 

Thank you! It's my first time there yes! I know next to no Japanese...yet I'm going there to teach English to kids for a year. If I enjoy it, I'll probably live there for a damn sight longer!
