For example. A band like Stand Atlantic from Aus would have to spend so much to get themselves, gear, merch, and personnel to America. Pay to get around America. And their draw would be almost nothing. They’d get almost no financial return, where doing a tour like they did with Real Friends (I believe? Or Neck Deep) is way more beneficial to them because they’re guaranteed to have people watch their set. And I know not every band is in that scenario, there are some bands, female fronted or not, where it doesn’t make sense as to why they aren’t on W
but then it’s a question of if their fans would support a band of a different genre. Not disagreeing, just playing devils advocate

I get what you're saying, but this is a shit excuse-- The Gospel Youth did a full Warped Tour before even having an album to their name. It's completely dependent if the other artists are willing to give them support, & the promoters are willing to take a risk on them.

It's too goddamn early for this bullshit, I made a girl power playlist, feel free to add to it because I know I'm awful at checking out new bands and missed a bunch

Theres a lot of bands who jump on tours without notable recognition too. Small talks is the best example I have right now of doing this. Let's be honest for a second, adtr could sell out these rooms without Boston manor/knocked loose, they sell club tours out the ass all the time without strong support, they're just being lazy by not looking around to diversify lineups. They have a festival that props up a dozen bands, and the bottom three bands dont sell more than like 20 of the tickets. It's not like people are saying they should be 100% of the time, have a 50/50 matchup of a diverse lineup, but they need to put in a bare minimum of effort in propping up other acts that aren't just white dudes.

I would like to apologize to Chorus.fm for starting this whole shitstorm with my comment yesterday.

    Will not happen again (hopefully)

If the “scene” is just pop punk bands or hardcore bands or whatever then yeah, the choices may be a bit limited in regards to female bands, but there are other musicians that have crossover with ADTR like Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, Snail Mail, Soccer Mommy, etc.

    Whatever. Forever.

Those might not necessarily all fit with ADTR but there is definitely plenty of at least "scene-adjacent" female acts that it's ridiculous and disappointing that there are no women on the tour.

    Do better ADTR.

As much as I love ADTR, I do question their support sometimes (looking at you FIR).
I definitely think Stand Atlantic, PVRIS, or even Code Orange would be good support/representation.

    Sharptooth for the win.

  12. ADTR/Stand Atlantic/Sharptooth is honestly cooler than this tour, and I love Boston Manor.

ADTR can take the brave risks at this point. They don’t even need solid support to sell out shows, they can do it on their own.

Last year me and my friend went to the Rage Tour in HOB in Chicago expecting it to be half empty and it was packed like crazy, in the niddle of the week, the same week as the Warped Tour stop.

That's why I found it super weird people were saying senses fail was the washed up band last week in that weird fiasco, attila struggles to fill dive bars these days and senses fail just got done doing a very successful coheadliner in rooms 5 times larger. Theres a time limit to the "I can say whatever I want because people are too sensitive" bands because then most people grow out of that when they graduate high school.

Is knocked loose the heaviest band A Day to Remember will have toured with?

What are some other heavy bands ADTR has toured with?

I'm not talking like arena rock parkway drive heavy either.

saw them play with From Autumn to Ashes like 12 years ago if that counts. chunk no captain chunk were also heavy lol

i don't think there was a band that really sounded like KL that had crossover appeal in the time they've been around

I don't know how to measure "heaviness" exactly but imo old Parkway Drive is just as heavy as KL, if not heavier.

They toured with ETID in Europe a few years ago and everyone knows they are the heaviest band.
