The biscuit is always better than the McMuffin option though

 

I grew up getting the sausage biscuit and loved it. Adding egg and cheese to it kind of detracted from it imo. The muffin works best with all three

 

I love the sausage, egg, and cheese and the regular mcmuffin both a lot, it’s hard to choose for me.

 

Biscuit is too dry for a sandwich. And trying to eat two halves of a biscuit with egg sausage and cheese in between is too thick of a sandwich.

If I'm having a biscuit, give me some gravy.

 

Honestly, if the biscuits were like half as thick, the sandwich would be way better. Just too much dry biscuit.

 

Even if the biscuit is good and moist, a breakfast sandwich on one is too dense imo

Excuse my high horse, but people outside of NJ aren’t qualified to speak on breakfast sandwiches. Pork roll, egg & cheese >>>

Oh, 1000%. I didn’t mean to negate your point as much as I meant to evangelize on behalf of kaiser roll breakfast sandwiches. There should be no other option.

The fact that pork roll, egg, & cheese is not a thing outside of Jersey is such a tragedy. And the worst part is that nobody who isn’t from here knows what they’re missing.

I love pork roll (born and raised in Jersey). They sell it here in MD as well though.

 

That's how I feel about kolaches in Texas. Every donut place here has them but apparently they don't have them elsewhere which is a travesty

Haha when you google kolaches the fruit ones come up first. The sausage roll must be a regional thing.

 

These are the ones. Doughboys actually talked about them on their Shipley's episode and I was shocked they had never had them

 

Don't believe Google's lies. Kolaches are sausage rolls. Fruit pastries are danish.
