I'm four episodes in on Umbrella Academy and enjoying it. I expected differences from the comics just because some of the scenes from those would be a little difficult to translate to TV.

 

I just finished the first episode of Umbrella Academy and I really enjoyed it. It was a little slow in the beginning, but that's not abnormal in a new show. Saw reviews saying that the show wasn't very good until closer to the end, so I'm sure I'm going to love this since I'm totally on board from the first episode.

also I’m excited to watch Umbrella Academy.

i totally need to reread the comics. it was my first exposure to Gabriel Ba(the artist), but I didn’t become a massive fan until later.

if anyone wants an existential crisis I highly recommend Daytripper. definitey one of my favorite graphic novels I’ve ever.

Yeah I haven't read Umbrella since it first came out so watching the show is pretty fresh to me since there's a lot I don't remember. It's cool.

Holy shit, Mr. Robot is so good.

Shouldn’t judge a book by its cover but never excepted a good show to be on USA Network. Glad I decided to randomly start this up.

Two good USA shows? I should have known the channel that brought us Chrisley Knows Best was a juggernaut.

Love Mr. Robot. Probably my favorite television drama outside of Breaking Bad

How is everyone watching that? Is it a miniseries or a doc?

 

Just a documentary, and only 90 minutes.

 

You’ll certainly lose faith in humanity a bit and feel much dumber afterwards but in its own twisted frustrating way it is fascinating (for all the wrong reasons)

 

Netflix. It’s a frustrating watch, but a compelling subject.

 

Watching Titans. It's awesome.

funny i told my wife Klaus acted like matt healy but looked like Nathan from misfits, to which she informed me it was in fact Nathan from misfits.

 

Just watched The Killing of a Sacred Deer. What a movie that was, holy shit. I don't even really know what to think about that. It was amazing but just... wat

A DC series. I just saw that it's a "Netflix Original" here but in the US it's on DC's own streaming service.

Yeah I'm interested but don't really want to pay for DC streaming eventhough I'm a big DC guy

 

It is very, very good, but looking at that DC streaming channel line up I wouldn't either for now. Maybe there is a trial membership? It's only 11 episodes.

 

There is and I've thought about using it when there are a few other shows out as well such as Swamp Thing, Harley Quinn, etc.
