I don't really like Five Guys fries at all, and never understood why they give you so many. I still eat them, because fries, but still...

 

McDonald's fries are the most overrated thing on earth. I was convinced for a while as a child that I didn't like fries because of them. Wendy's are about 1000x better.

Del Taco has my fave fries but I swear they don't taste as good now that they're in regular fry cartons and not the big cups!! McDonald's are a very specific nostalgic taste to me that I enjoy. Otherwise I enjoy all other fries about equally. Can't say I'm huge on the places that brag about their real potato fries and then they give you a bag full of soggy disaster tho

 

I went to McDonald’s on Sunday after work and they told me to pull into the parking spots because they were making fresh fries.

I was all hyped but when I got the fries they were super disappointing :(

 

When McDonald's fries are at their best, they're almost unbeatable. At least as far as fastfood chain fries goes.

 

When I worked at McD's, I'd always make fresh fries for my lunch breaks. They're great when they're fresh, but after half an hour or so, they're just ordinary.

 

I’m not sure if it was just a particularly good batch but I just tried the bacon fries at McDonalds and they were incredible

And I’m not like a huge fan of bacon or McDonald’s fries

Decided to try my hand at donuts this morning/last night. They came out pretty decent. Need to work on my frosting skills and some were a little overcooked.

They didn't, especially not on their scale, haha. You can make the argument for texture as they aren't very crispy, but they actually do taste like potatoes.

I had quinoa for the first time today.

Then later on, to make up for it, I bought a box of Chips Ahoy Minis and poured all 5 bags into a bowl with milk and ate it like cereal.

 

I made ink pasta with shrimp and it turned out fantastic

 

Wegman's had the most beautiful Swordfish yesterday. So tonight I'm broiling the 2 pieces I got. Then I'm finishing them with avocado, pink grapefruit, Fresno chile, and cilantro. It's a dish from Eddie V's that I'm trying to replicate.
