Mostly bad ones like free throw
Good emo came from a different set of influences

    The rivalry is back on

Are the FOBs and Yellowcards of the world not still out there in the form of The 1975, twenty one pilots, Walk The Moon, etc?

i disagree, bands like neck deep, real friends, TSSF, state champs are far far bigger than any emo band
majority of regulars on this site have just moved past that

    !!!!

It got old and a good amount of the fans moved from that to regular emo and then to college indie/emo type of stuff.

meh I'd take latterman's records or chumped' record or even like some TWY records over INGO

It Never Goes Out is their best album imo. Never really connected with the latest two.

There's only one song I really like on INGO. Just Nite Ratz

    Nah
Never loved Latterman as much as I should've. Same with Chumped. TWY fell off hard for me

Better Off could be considered pop punk I think, and they were good. Too bad they had to be shitty people.

I think Shining Through are actually one of the most underrated pop/punk bands of recent years. Hooks a' plenty on all of their EPs that they released.

I second the microwave mention, hooks for days

The Hoteliers first record is a masterpiece. Also The Dangerous Summer make some fantastic catchy pop punk

I haven't listened to TWY in a while but I still genuinely think TGG is a very good record.

I just don't think INGO is that good, haha. Flashes of brilliance but like...heh

TWY should not be in this conversation.

Bayside is super catchy pop punk, albeit with a darker edge to them.

Latterman is also good. IF we want to really stretch the definition then The Dismemberment Plan could also fit that mold

I don't consider Bayside, TDS or any band in that mold pop punk. When I think of pop punk it actually has to include punk music first, then the poppiness on top of it.

So many really good pop punk records in the 90's and early 2k. Those are the ones I still play.
