HAHAHA, yes! I completely forgot that they used his "sad guitarist holding a broken guitar and walking around in the city" material for two music videos. I thought everything was just in New World. Invisible Parade is way funnier. Good call, you're completely right. Nothing will beat sad Tom sitting on the streets eating a hamburger.

 

I thought that video was so ridiculous I remixed it.

 

I know it's pretty cringey, but I actually kind of like "New World" and I don't give an eff you see kay.

Nothing to pretend. It was never great.

 

As far as AvA songs go The Adventure is good. On the rare occurance I listen to AVA again it’s one of the 5 songs I’ll play.


But I don’t revisit them often

 

I think at the time when it was released it sounded bigger/more epic but while I still think it's one of the better AVA songs it's kind of just there for me now. I haven't listened to an AVA song since whenever the WDNTW acoustic album came out and even then not sure if I listened the songs fully so I'm probably not the best judge when it comes to AVA songs.

 

I used to legit like AvA but somewhere around Love Part 1&2 they lost me. I liked a handful of songs on dreamwalker but that was it

 

Love 1 and 2 are seriously some of the worst albums ever produced IMO

 

Fun fact: LOVE 1 was released 9 years ago to this day.

Yikes that makes me feel so fucking old. I was in high school and allllll pumped for it. Now I just want Tom to fuck off.

 

At the time I liked their first two albums. I think I liked maybe 5 or 6 songs on Love Part 1 but I thought Love Part 2 was just bad, there was maybe 3 songs I could listen to on it. I thought Dream Walker was fine, nothing special and nothing really stood out to me like WDNTW or iEmpire. I started to find myself not really being into the band as much as the years went by. I haven't listened to any of the EPs after Tom left blink outside of the acoustic one and really never found myself missing the band or wanting to go back and listen to any of their music again. It's really just not for me. Whenever the next album comes out I will give it a listen because I'm curious to see if I will like it but I don't have any hope I will. I just don't like Tom as a song writer much anymore when it comes to his non blink stuff.

 

lol I was 26 years old. I remember being pumped for TOYPAJ Senior year of HS.

 

Basically what I was saying in a nutshell

 

I loved the approach with Love Part 1 where each song ended with a little interlude that connected it to the next song, but unfortunately most of the songs were just awful.
Although I still come back to Young London, Shove and Hallucinations every now and then.

 

Yeah but I said it much better.

 

Love Part 1 is one of Tom's best albums imo.

 

The demos is definitely worse

Dream Walker and Chasing Shadows are the only AVA I like but I really like em

 

actually bad as those two albums were, "The Revelator" from Love Part 2 fucking goes

 

When I heard that song I was like damn why can't all their songs be this dope?

 

for real! it's like "Even If She Falls" but with the space rock influence and actually executed well, no one can tell me that shit doesn't slap
