it's amazing that a guy tried to citizen arrest John Mellencamp at his house isn't the weirdest story today

 

Another reason I think high speed rails are a ways away is due to our already deteriorating infrastructure across the country that needs to be fixed. I imagine a high speed rail car would have quite a bit of maintenance required/inspections required too, just like aircraft, which would probably drive the cost up.

Although my future career is at the airlines, we do need a cheaper option to cross large distances desperately, especially if they could come up with a cost effective ticket system like the trains in Europe. Could be a game changer for people who live in areas where jobs are scarce but can’t afford to move
