I wish I were a bigger All Time Low/Alex Gaskarth fan. But I imagine the venues will be smaller so seeing Mark in that environment would be pretty rad. We’ll see if they come to Detroit.

    A new hope:

blink-182 with opening acts of Simple Creatures and Mark Skiba & The Sekrets.

  6. Didn't Mark say that he doesn't want to do a typical kind of tour with Simple Creatures, and just wants to play private events or whatever?

We should definitely set up a Chorus.fm go fund me page to have them play a private concert for us with a stipulation that after he plays he has to listen to all of us complain about: the set lists, length of concerts, Tom, Feldmann, blinkumentary, Nanas, whoooowhooa, recording process, writing music with other people and working with other artists we don't like.

So basically Chorus.fm presents "The Roast of Mark Hoppus"

  10. I want to start a songwriting podcast just so I can get Mark on it as a guest for my "first" (but only) episode.

But Feldmann is the only person that writes blink songs

  12. I'd only ask him about writing "21 Days" and why they pretend that one of their best songs doesn't even exist.

this, Better Days, Red Skies are huge bangers

  16. Now that i did that "remastering" of Flyswatter and stuff, i'm coming around to songs like "Better Days" and "Red Skies." Never could appreciate them before.

Yeah those are definitely some of their better earlier songs. The two untitled songs from the Demo 2 tape aren't bad either from what I can remember of them.

would have been down for both songs making an appearance on Cheshire Cat instead of the Buddha songs that had been recorded like three times by then (like Strings, TV etc.) but whatever it's all good music

I mean, I doubt he'd come out in interviews and say "so the guy we just asked to join the band was 3rd, maybe 4th choice. Everyone else said no so we turned to Matt".

Not saying Alex was even considered at all mind.

  20. I didn’t miss anything right? No simple creatures shows have been announced? I was thinking they’d wind up being the secret headliner at musink but the poster looks like it’s a band that starts with a “T,” but looks too short to be transplants.

  23. Still seems too short to fit there but they could be cleverly deceiving us. I highly DOUBT that but, could be...

Well to be fair to them Flyswatter and Demo #2 weren't really easily found albums. Not even sure if Demo #2 really was ever available for sells to the general public. I want to say they made that demo and just passed it around to friends and family. Buddha was really the first exposure the public had to the band. But to your point it would be interesting to know why they thought a song like Strings or TV was a better choice to put on Cheshire Cat instead of 21 Days for example.

I'd love to know why they added that Carousel guitar intro for Cheshire Cat. Give me the Buddha version that is just the bass intro any day of the week.

I don't think that's it either, just trying to be funny.

I always figured blink was headlining once again and that they would announce the Musink show along with a new single and album release date at the same time.
