I liked Braid

don't know how much sense it makes but I liked it

 

I'm ok with something not making sense if it can make me feel something.

Has anyone seen the documentary The Nightmare? From the director of the Shining doc Room 237, and it’s about people who suffer from sleep paralysis. I just first heard about it in an article about best horror movies on Netflix and I wanna check it out as someone whose experienced it from time to time

 

It's solid. The dramatizations of the sleep paralysis the subjects describe can be pretty eerie.

 

Uhhhh so The Hole in the Ground is out there

 

Yes, it was very interesting. Would recommend.

 

Watching this now and all of their accounts are too real for me

 

I'll still see it in the theatres but that's pretty ridiculous.

Hell yea, gimme dat Achilles' heel slice!

 

Iiiiiinteresting change to the original source. "Hug your daughter" line was so fucked up and eerie. Also, simultaneously sickened and pleasantly surprised they're bringing back the slice. That part is so brutal in the original.

I like it better than the first trailer tbh but I do have a hangup with the squad of undead kids in animal masks

 

Wait, so it's a zombie movie? Like, without the flesh-eating part? I could've probably guessed that from the first trailer, but this one makes it more obvious Now I'm even less interested than I already was.

I don't feel any particular way about Stephen King, as I haven't actually read any of his work, but I think people need to stop (re-)adapting his novels. He basically created the canon. Get a fresher, maybe subversive perspective. Part of why I enjoyed Get Out and look forward to Us so much is that they don't look like something I've already seen.
