I would have been a senior in high school when This Ain't a Scene came out (so 17 years old). I remember going to the first show of the Honda Civic Tour on my last day of school the next May.

I became a fan during Cork Tree, probably around the time Dance Dance was released as a single (or maybe right before). First time seeing them live was on Black Clouds and Underdogs in April 2006.

Still a fan, if not bigger than ever. Going to be adding a FOB tattoo to my collection of band logos on my chest around my birthday this coming April.

Death valley is one of their worst songs tbh, never liked that one

TTTYG is listed as their “essential album” on Apple Music and there’s just so much wrong with that

Death Valley's fine. It's not even the worst song on SR&R

The worst song is the half of Rat a Tat that Courtney Love is on. I love the FOB part of that song so much.

I hate all of Rat A Tat. Pretty easily my least favorite FOB song, and definitely my least favorite post hiatus.

I like Death Valley but it’s been a while.

Courtney’s parts aside, Rat a Tat is super fun and probably one of my favorites on SRAR. Love the guitar riffs on it.

Rat a Tat is a great song, Courtneys parts don't add anything good

The chorus of Rat a Tat is so good. The song itself is pretty good, It would be nice if there was a version without Courtney Love but it's still good.

Consider me among the old-timers, too. I was 17 and in my junior year of high school when "This Ain't A Scene..." came out.

Fall Out Boy is one of those bands that I remember the genesis of my fandom for very well. I stumbled on the, I guess, radio promo (?) for From Under the Cork Tree. I don't remember where, or how, but it had about half of the album. I downloaded it and loved the songs, and was super excited for the actual release. I don't think I heard TTTYG until after FUCT was officially released, though I vaguely remember seeing the video for "Grand Theft Autumn" on Fuse back in the day and liking the song.

Been a huge fan ever since. I entered the album cover design contest for Infinity On High and remember thinking it was SO cool to be featured on their site. Folie A Deux came out at the tail end of my first semester of college and was a huge record for me.

I'll be 30 in 7 months and I FEEL like an old-timer, does that count?

Sometimes (most of the time) I feel like a relic in this scene.

I was 15 when it came out. IOH was the first FOB album I purchased, as well as my first digital album/itunes purchase ever.
