I can't listen to Rabbit Hole without immediately thinking of Mark being involved in the Alice in Wonderland soundtrack.

Love the kids that pay for things, get what they paid for, and then complain for not getting more.

 

I know this was like, 3 pages ago but I'm just responding as I go through in order. He had a monitor with all the lyrics in front of him for every show on that tour. He had the monitor with blink at xgames, but I guess that's even less of an excuse for them not to be switching up the setlist. It's pretty hard to fuck up when you're reading the lyrics. On the other hand these are festival shows. Maybe they'll change up the setlist at their own shows.

I went to a Travis Barker meet and greet where I got to talk to him, get something signed, and got a picture with him... for FREE!

And one time at Warped Tour, there was an Angels & Airwaves meet and greet for only Modlife members that paid whatever amount of money to meet them. Everyone was in a long line waiting for the meet and greet, and there was a separate line (with no one in it) to buy merch. Tom was the last one in the line of band members, and he was sitting right next to the merch. So I walked right up, shook his hand, asked him what shirt I should get, and then I moved on.

I would never pay for one of those expensive bundles to meet a band, especially when meet and greets like the ones I've stumbled upon pop up every now and then.

I'd rather get a pic than an auto any day of the week if I had to pick and choose.

 

Semi off topic. For lawn seats in an amphitheater what would be considered a "low profile lawn chair".

 

Nope. I didn't think it was that big of a deal during the Trio tour and people were giving him shit for it even then. "Dan doesn't have one," and yeah well, Dan doesn't have half the amount of songs to remember as Matt does. And now with the combination of his stuff AND blink stuff, he's got nearly 40 years worth of lyrics and music combined he's expected to recall. Anyone who wants to whine about his wanting so badly not to fuck up he has a monitor to do so can fuck right off.

 

Maybe Tom should have gotten a monitor with lyrics on it, ha.

 

Having a monitor isn't going to make his voice not sounds like a cat being ran over a lawnmower though, or make him pronounce them properly.

 

So just normal lawn chairs, got it.

 

Travis let me take a picture with him when security said no. He's a great dude!

 

Yeah, you cant underestimate security. When I got backstage at their first arena tour Mark signed my stuff and was being super nice while a security guy was trying to rush me and my friend out. Def cost me getting a photo. I was back there for free, but still. Blaming the blink guys is definitely a rush to judgment. Seems lots of people have had great experiences meeting all three of these guys.

 

Pretty sure for at one of the U.K. Shows a couple years back when they did an acoustic part of the set, Tom actually had the lyrics to one of the songs taped to the floor next to the set list so he didn't forget them

 

Yeah, I think it's less of a "We don't want to sign stuff" thing and more of a "We need to get through everyone in a timely manner" kind of thing.
