Man, I couldn't imagine having a pretty steady income just get cut because Patreon decides it wants a bigger cut of the pie. It can be hard enough for an artist to pay bills as-is.

I know one of my favorite webcomic artists makes quite a bit from having just under 7000 patrons. Which is definitely a very comfortable amount to live off, but that still doesn't really help if you can't afford your mortgage anymore .
