Anyway Beto is saying something big today ? Saw that it won't be aired for a week or 2 so I'm thinking it can't be something major or it would be leaked before it aired.

 

If my grandparents weren't rich my dad right now would be faced with two choices: go literally bankrupt for home care, or never ever leave the house except in the middle of the night which also means getting no sleep. Either way working is out of the question. I guess the other option is me continuing to live there indefinitely and working nights or something. Of course we're also unlucky enough to live in a state where spouses can't get SSDI benefits for doing home care themselves. Very cool and fun situation

This is strange to me. Not surprising I guess, but strange.

 

I mean historically "electability" has been code for basically clintonian third-wayism. Now it just means "please please get trump out" so it makes sense to me

i'd absolutely believe it's a real marketing effort in some cases but i do think some of it is also more like, millennial who spent college on tumblr now has free reign of brand's twitter account at work.

 

I know people that work at the marketing agencies/groups that run some of those accounts though. The meetings would make you wanna bash your head against the wall. Haha.

 

Yeah honestly I would love to have control of some brand's social media account and would probably be really good at it lol

 

The notion that big brands trust like, interns to manage their social accounts is so wildly inaccurate it's infuriating to those of us in the business. No, CEO's are not vetting every tweet. But it's not like every brand account is managed by a teenager eating a moonpie in their basement.

 

Yes! Yes! This one. It would blow some of your minds the hours that goes into 140 characters.

 

Okay, maybe most. I'm not talking about interns though, I have a few friends in the industry. Some have very unrestricted access to social media accounts. Not all.

 

lol I don't doubt that. But, if you ask someone to describe someone who works in social media intern is like the first word
