Well that's pretty damn cool.

 

I bought that Bloodstained game for my 3ds, nice little updated NES kind of Castlevania. Now I'm replaying my GBA Castlevanias and probably Symphony of the Night on my Vita after that haha.

 

I love the GBA castlevanias, SOTY obviously too.

 

Decided to just order a bigger memory stick for my current PSP and getting pretty antsy waiting for it to get here..

So far I've got Earthbound and the Mother 3 English translation, but anyone willing to throw out some more well loved "retro" games I probably missed out on? Had a Genesis growing up, so I only ever really played Sonic and whatever sports games pre-N64/PS1.

 

Outstanding call with Earthbound and Mother 3, both are in my top 10 probably of all time. Are you looking for other retro RPGs? Cause I could hook you up with more of those, the SNES is a JRPG powerhouse.

I'm definitely not opposed to them. Never played a FF game due to the overwhelming number of them, ha.

I'm sure there's plenty of best of lists I could look up but I figured I'd ask here, too. I'm really open to anything.

 

It's such an original gaming experience.

 

Just play FF6, that's all I will throw at you so I don't overwhelm you. I promise you will love it.

I to this day never could get the combos right in that game though

 

That’s because of the emulation, it basically only works if you play the original Japanese cartridge on a GBA

 

That's what I figured. Button mashing can get you pretty decent combos sometimes tho.

 

this is wild. I don’t really understand it but as an Xbox owner I’m all for more cross-play.

isnt it only for games like Rocket League and Minecraft that already can be played cross platform? i just don’t see whats actually different

 

I mean they are pushing out a way to allow more crossplay so that is good for gamers also smite is included and fortnite is also. I think there are like 5 or more crossplay games right now.

 

I don't even care if they censored it, I just want to legally play Mother 3. The fan translation is fine but I want to play on my Switch/3DS, damn it! My friend has a reproduction cart and told me the save system stopped working before too long

Edit: the translation is actually amazing and awesome, not just fine

will they add save during a battle? I can't fathom not being able to save in an hour long match

 

I might have to grab that Guacamelee physical. Been slacking on picking up either so feels like a good time, and I'm a sucker for physical Switch games, I've got a nice collection going.

Wow I'm not sure if I'm nuts but it seems like games on my new SD card start up faster than when they were on my internal storage. I knew I got one of the fastest cards I could find but never thought it would beat on-board storage :o

 

I can't believe this isn't a thing. I get the whole "they don't want people to save and mess up and load" thing where they can just get S rankings all the way through or whatever, but like who really cares? They shouldn't punish people who just want to save and go eat dinner and not play a two hour map straight just because of some dinguses.

 

Can't you just put it in sleep mode tho??
