They played it every time I saw them until Beggars came out, iirc, until this tour. Makes sense that it then became a rotation song as opposed to a staple set song as many songs from Beggars onwards harken back to it quite a bit. Though I'd rather it be a staple than say Of Dust and Nations, which is one of three songs I've seen Thrice play every single time I've seen them (alongside The Earth Will Shake and Silhouette).

I don't disagree with you. But it's something about the rawness of that collection of songs that draws me in.

    Fight the long defeat.

That's a big reason why I would love to hear their current take on Vheissu, but with that record being such a fan favorite, I doubt they would touch it after all this time. Maybe as a live album, if they opted for an anniversary tour down the road.

At the end of the day, though, we have a fantastic new record after the hiatus with intentions for the next mentioned in several interviews. I'm just glad to have these guys back, making music again.

What a strange stance to take haha. How can one Thrice fan speak on behalf of all Thrice fans? I don't like their first two albums at all anymore, but since Ambulance forward, I've loved nearly everything this band has done. In fact, I don't like the Fire & Air collection very much either.

Pretty clear to me we all have different views on their work and are all commonly bonded by the fact that we enjoy a large majority of their music together. No reason we are divided into camps like pre-Vheissu/post-Vheissu.

Wake Up is the biggest grower song of the year. Fucking LOVE it. This album has become probably my album of the year which is astonishing considering how much else was released.

Not exactly. I live in Charlottesville. If any tour skips Richmond we will make the trip up to DC/Maryland.

Honestly I've never been huge on For Miles and Stand... before my recent re listen to Vheissu. Those two stood out particularly as being amazing to hear again. TBEITBN has really re ignited my love for Thrice. It's crazy too because I always consider Deftones/Thursday/Coheed to be my undisputed top three bands, but I've seen Thrice twice. I think they have one of the best live shows I've ever witnessed.

i only watched it once i think, but tangentially, it was amazing how insane the crowd went for this song. and that it's now starting to receive airplay.

its by far my favorite on the album, its so fucking good and is everything thrice is amazing at. huge, anthemic chorus, great lyrics, awesome riffs and rhythm section, its just an absolutely perfect thrice song.

I just checked and before Black Honey was 5 then 6 on Sirius/XM Octane's weekly 12 "Big 'Uns"..... Now it's #3. Right behind Volbeat and Hellyeah. \m/. I wonder if they can get #2 or #1?
