Between Mark's interview and the super Skiba-ish titles my hype definitely rose

 

I remember having this feeling in 2016 though too... we thought we were getting a gritty dark record lmao

 

Why just cause Skiba? They were always pretty upfront about the record they were trying to make

 

Skiba and the list of song titles and there were reviews of songs that were...misleading or just misguided. One review described No Future as "apocalyptic"...

Yeah, I kinda want to find that review to see what it said about the other songs now. Don't mean to ruin your excitement man, but I'm just saying to be weary lol

 

This still feels different than Feldmann preparing for the record by listening to the discography lol

 

Yeah, I kinda like that they seem to be recording at Mark's home studio. Takes some of Feldy's fingerprints off of it haha

 

I know people are blinded by the Feldmann hate, but producers do that quite literally all the time.

I'm not even stating that in a hate way, just the first blink record with Matt and a new producer was going to be a lot less loose recording-wise than this one should be. I know it's probably not out of the ordinary

Pretty sure I'm in the bottom 10% with Feldmann objections in here lol

 

Imagine if those early "dark" blink demos just weren't very good and Feldmann was right about them getting back to being blink-182 and thus saved the band from a flop of a comeback record with a new member....
