Hm I've never noticed it on the dashboard. I feel like when I notice it it starts off bad and then kinda picks up a little, but still feels slightly behind. Maybe it's something different for me then.

So it could eventually make it's way to ps4 or is that just to Steam?

Ps4 after 1 year. Steam after 90 days.

ah ok I get it, I think I was confused by the wording. That's rad though, it was like the one XB1 game showed I actually want to play

Honestly a little surprised it's timed exclusive, guess that'll be the norm for Microsoft exclusivity deals between that and RotTR.

I actually just fixed up my PC to take advantage of Xbox games releasing there but the lack of timer in DR4 means I probably won't care for it.

I've only played the first one way back, but you're referring to the 72hr (or however long) timer that's like the biggest mechanic of the game? I must have missed that, what a super odd decision to take it out

yeah it wasn't in DR3. they put a timer gamemode in but because the game wasn't built around it it sucked. I was hoping they would add it back in.

I like the IGN one - Unfiltered (excellent one on one with gaming industry like Sean Murray, Cliffy B and Tim Shafer), Podcast Unlocked and Game Scoop.
Also Kinda Funny has a few that I enjoy. Other than that, the others are hit or miss I feel.

ah got it. That's lame, the timer was one of the most interesting parts of the first game. Like it created a good sense of urgency, but I never felt like I was hindered by it

I hate almost all of his opinions on pretty much everything, and he's very adamant about them so it makes it worse. I'm probably biased because we're complete opposites on the political spectrum

Easy Allies podcast (which you can find the video verison of on youtube) is my current favourite. Micheal Huber from Easy Allies is pretty much my favourite person to hear talk about video games at this point, few people have the passion that man does. To give context, Easy Allies used to be all the people who worked for gametrailers.com, but then the site was shut down and they were all fired with no notice so they started their own channel recently.

    Easy Allies Podcast - YouTube

DLC podcast is another favourite of mine and is hosted by Jeff Cannata who made the Totally Rad Show back in the day (one of the best "nerd" related podcasts ever produced) lots of great conversations happen in that one.

I do disagree with him on several things, but I find his stubbornness actually funny so it doesn't bother me. I dislike JRPG's and other things he does seem to enjoy and prefer MS to Sony which obviously is not the case with him, but find his insight on gaming and his willingness to not hold back refreshing.

I also agree with him more than disagree on politics, so that is never an issue with me. I'm usually the odd man out in general with politics anyway.

Thanks for all the podcast recs everyone, will check them all out and hopefully at least one of them will click with my tastes.

That's fair. I really do think part of the reason I dislike him is my own personal failing to not be accepting of other political views. That being said, no one from Kinda Funny is particular compelling to me.

It's not a gaming podcast, but Max and Brian from IGN do a podcast called the Comedy Button that's a fun listen every once in a while. It sometimes gets repetitive but also a lot of good laughs.

Colin Moriarty has some weird fucking opinions. I rarely agree with him on anything, but I guess that's why I find it so interesting to hear him speak about games.

The only people's opinion I pay attention to on Kinda Funny are Tim and Greg because I always thought those two were the best.

I pretty much only listen to the bombcast/beastcast. They're the best. Also I'm biased because I've been a fan since they started out.

Edit: Also sometimes I listen to Match 3. It's Patrick Klepek's podcast with Gita Jackson and Sam Philips. They talk about video games in the context of social issues.

@ugman_2000 I like The Game Informer Show. That's the only one I listen to regularly. They did a two hour special on FFXV recently.

That's great for him! I'll definitely check it out because I love the way Austin talks about games. His academic take on things is always cool to hear even if I don't agree with him.
