Just give me a good Fable game that's all I want from you Microsoft

 

a new and good fable game would rule as long as I can play it on my surface. actually that gives me the idea to buy 1 and 2 for my surface. Fuck fable 3.

Consoles are a strange thing. Previously, each new iterations/generation of hardware brought something new with it. Besides graphics, the PS2 had a DVD drive, PS3 had a Blu-ray player, N64 had four controller ports, etc. They always had something impressive to offer. Now we've hit a point of diminishing returns when it comes to graphical improvements so it's going to be interesting to see what they think is the best selling point next gen. A lot of people in the industry believe it's streaming, some think it's a Switch competitor or VR. Either way, consoles are becoming so close to PCs that it makes sense that Nintendo went the other direction. "Look at us. We rely on creativity and games, not graphics and power."

It's going to be a wild ride.

 

Personally I'd love for Microsoft and Sony to make something similar to the Switch that can change from console to portable

and yeah almost all gripes have been fixed for the final game when it comes to the technical stuff, they just based the demo of a really shoddy build.

 

Vita 2.0. I mean, they were legitimately so close they just needed to merge the Vita and the Vita TV together haha

Wasn't there a Patent recently that hinted at another Sony handheld? I'm in the minority that actually likes the Vita, but I can see why anyone who doesn't like JRPGs wouldn't like it lol

 

A patent doesn’t really mean much, but I think so. You can pretty much assume someone at any of the three companies is always working on something like that. If it ever turns into a final product is a different story but those patents might still be valuable.

 

I think it’d be insane if Sony or Microsoft didn’t want to ride the switch wave. A base PS4 level handheld shouldn’t be a tough thing to make for 349 in 2020

 

That would be another reason to not launch a new gen

I took it to mean digital only which doesn't necessarily mean streaming

 

I think it's still premature to have a console that is only playable when connected to the internet (and a decent enough connection at that). I'm not sure internet accessibility is at a point yet where that can be justified without cutting off part of the market.
