I'll have to give PD another chance. My first impression was a bit disappointing... not bad, but White immediately connected with me and I jammed it all summer. It just felt so good to be 10/10 sold on a Weezer album again.

 

Pacific Daydream is probably closer to like a 7 if we're being honest, but that's arbitrary, and it's just SO listenable

You Gave Your Love to Me Softly, Love of my Dreams, I Do, Brightening Day, all the Red Deluxe tracks, Losing My Mind, Everybody Needs Salvation, The Last Days of Summer are my favourites off the top of my head

Pacific Daydream would be a really solid EP if you cut out the first 4 tracks.

 

My favorite b-sides/SS2k songs would be The Sister Song, Jamie, Teenage Victory Song, Mykel and Carli, and You Gave Your Love So Me Softly.

I also love the AOL Sessions version of Can't Stop Partying with Chamillionaire. The Raditude version with Lil Wayne is pure crapola though.

Feels Like Summer and Beach Boys are awful haha and Mexican Fender and Happy Hour are kinda ehh.

 

"Beach Boys" and "Happy hour" are two of my favorites. Only two tracks I would cut from PD are "Get Right" and " La Mancha Scewjob"

 

Get Right is one of my favorites and I dig La Mancha too *shrugs*

Another vote here for "Get Right". Top tier Weezer, as well.

 

I'm staying to go through the discography in order. Blue is good. Pinkerton is great and it's bizarre that it was ever received poorly. Green feels a little weak but not bad.

Also I had a Weezer shirt with Kermit on it in high school and I regret that I no longer have that

 

Sweet Mary and Any Friend of Diane's are lovely tunes that don't really get enough credit

also, y'all do yourselves a favour and track down the crushing version of You Won't Get With Me Tonight - makes Pinkerton sound produced lol

I'm pretty sure that was the first time I've listened to Green. Blue I've listened to a bunch, and this was probably my third or so time with Pinkerton

 

Green will grow on you, Maladroit is so good

 

For me Green is super catchy and I really enjoy it when it's on but I pretty much forget how over half of the songs sound as soon as it's over

Get Right is EASILY the best song on PD.

 

Mexican Fender, Get Right, and.....La Mancha are my top 3.

I know people aren't into La Mancha, but I think its the catchiest song on the album. Its so fun.
