M/m should have had a quieter song or two on it imo. It would have benefited from more songs like disarmed and less songs like listen through me.

This band is nit picked apart. This is not a reply to any specific comment, just a reflection on this thread at times.

This band has so many great songs and fan base with a wide variety of expectations. Plus all four members write music for the band. No band I listen to has evolved as much as Thrice.

It’s funny because it feels like when one person ranks their order of favourite albums, someone reply’s in an opposite order.

Maybe we just need a single day of everyone saying what they love about this band or their albums.

What I love about this band is the way Ed rocks out live. Their music is ok too.

Yeah wth, I always thought Artist was guitar heavy.

The fact that every album has one of my favourite Thrice songs on it.

Just ignore the comment. The guitars are extremely high in the mix on Artist, to say they are buried is just flat out false.

Just got back from the Clifton Park show. Absolutely phenomenal. Was front center. The Window was FUCKING FIRE. Just kidding, the whole thing was. Got Tep’s setlist and a drumstick. Hung out after. Got to chat with the band for a few. Told them about the first time I saw them (show cancelled, they played Christmas songs outside for those that showed), vinyl, and that they enjoyed the energy from the crowd tonight. Fantastic show.

Oh. And they played Deadbolt for those that care.

We talk too much / We talk in circles

The heavy rhythm guitars dominate the record. Teppei's leads are buried in the mix. That's why we've always felt that the record sounds hollow. The lows and mids were there, but not the highs. T sure sounded great on Vheissu, though.

Do you try and rope in the band into your opinions to help your case because you are usually flat out wrong?

I'm trying to imagine Artist without hearing Teppi's leads in Bloodclots, Under a Killing Moon, Melting Point, Silhouette, Paper Tigers and Don't Tell..... but I just can't because they are stand outs in those songs.

Leads being buried on TAITA is definitely not something I hear. A very tastefully mixed record shows a fast maturing band on the cusp of greatness.

Any setlist with nothing from Beggars is not a good setlist

Yeah, 0 songs from Beggars is insane to me. I'd be so bummed

I would personally love All The World is Mad (that bridge hits so hard live) and Beggars (that whole ending) on every set they ever do, but they have so many great songs where that's just not a true statement :-)

I mean there are several songs from all of my top 5 thrice albums so im pretty satisfied with it.

Disagree that those two songs jam live, that they have too many other great songs or that by omitting 10 of their more toned down songs for more upbeat that the setlist is no good?

There shouldn't be setlists where there are M/M songs played but no Beggars songs played

The last one. I mean, clearly I was being hyperbolic and didn’t expect my post to be a discussion point. Beggars has plenty of upbeat stuff they could have played though if that’s what they were going for.
