I need to switch to vaping or something to bring my tolerance down, but I prefer joints mostly so that's what I smoke, and dabs which really put my tolerance at another level

 

never done a dab. i cough enough as is, i don't need something else thats gonna irritate my throat for a few days. although i'm curious about what kind of high it is

 

Vaping might actually increase your tolerance? I think?

 

The high is amazing, and although you might cough a lot, it's once every 2 hours or so. You only need one, really, haha.

 

If you take a low temperature dabs, the coughing won't be bad.

I don't have really hang out with people that dab, so it took me a while to figure how to do it properly (and I'm probably still fucking it up) but now that I've gotten better at it, it's way more enjoyable.

I used to heat the nail until it was red hot and then basically take my dab instantly. It was TERRIBLE and I couldn't understand why people were hyping dabs so much.

 

I'd recommend it! I mean joints are clearly the god damn best but it's just better for ya lungs if you're smoking daily. Plus when you do smoke joints, you appreciate them even more.

I don't know if it really feels much different to me other than the fact I immediately go from 0 to 12.

Well I don't know anything other than my anecdotal experience, but my friends are sometimes surprised to see how much of a lightweight I am now. An ounce lasts my girlfriend and I quite a bit longer than it used to--I'll put it that way.

If I'm introducing someone to weed, I usually recommend starting with the vape always by equating it to alcohol: taking a hit from a joint is like taking a shot or two depending on your tolerance, and a few hits from a vape is more like drinking a beer.

I've found it takes quite a few hits to really get stoned using the vape. Which is great, because I don't necessarily want to go catatonic every single night.

 

I've been thinking about picking up a dab pen tho. Seems really convenient.

 

Huh, I've had the opposite experience but I guess it effects everyone differently.

 

blunts and joints are by far my favorite things to smoke, usually I end up smoking a bowl or a pen... sometimes a bong, but I have to really be in the mood for it. That reminds me... time to pack a snow bong tonight. fuck yeah.

Tho sometimes when you're trying new paraphernalia, your body doesn't automatically prepare a tolerance response the way it does when you're using something familiar.

Just take your bong and pack it really hard with fresh snow. Makes the fanciest percolators seem weak.

I vape at home now, switching between the pen and my actual vape. I used to do a nightly J (some mornings too) everyday with my buddy back when I lived with him a few years ago, and I still think smoking J's is the best in terms of the act of smoking, but I only do that now with groups and if I'm feeling frisky I'll smoke a J to myself which is The Nicest Way to Smoke. Joints are the most communal and feel the most natural. Blunts are awesome too. Ripping the bong is fun once in awhile but I don't do it as often. Sometimes I'll drip 2-3 drops of peppermint essential oil in the bong water for full peppermint patty effect.

Off-topic but I just came back from my dispensary and the prices for the full gram carts dependent on their brand are $80, $120, and the worst of all.... $150!!!!! FOR A CARTRIDGE OF OIL. I asked the cashier why the massive range in price and he told me he doesn't know because the cheapest one has the most THC. I obviously ended up buying that one.

This shit is just way too unregulated, kinda pisses me off.

Definitely prefer flower over wax or edibles. Something about the burning of the plant with me. I have a Bhang stick I hit on the down low, some nice distillates.

But prefer flower in any form.

The only qualm I have with pens is if they have glycerin in them. It really is noticeable on the high, smoke and the way it feels on my lungs. Not a fan.
