Want You To and Put Me Back Together are both legitimately decent songs that are also both miles better and more interesting than Beverly Hills.

Beverly Hills is an atrocity, and I wish they'd wipe it off the face of the earth. Bottom 10 is too kind, it's bottom 5 maybe even bottom 3 for Weezer.

Put Me Back Together may be one of the band's most underrated songs, tbh.

Also I would say if someone is trying to get more into Weezer like @ChaseTx, I would point them in the direction of Blue, Pinkerton, Green, Maladroit, EWBAITE, and White. None of the other albums are worth listening to in full, just pull the couple good songs off of them and move on. And that includes Make Believe, which is low-key just as bad as Raditude.

This is coming from someone who is a huge fan of this band, also.

People only hate Beverly Hills more than other bad Weezer songs because they had to hear it way more on the radio etc.

I know I'm in the minority here, but Make Believe is a top 5 Weezer album for me, so I disagree about none of the other albums being worthy of listening to in full.

Honestly, the only Weezer albums I won't listen to in full are Hurley and Raditude. I like Pacific Daydream a lot and enough of Red (especially the deluxe edition) to listen to it all.

I can easily name 10 Weezer songs that are worse than Beverly Hills.

I don't love it, but it's definitely a fun song.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

hence why I said "era" and not just the album itself. Want You To is a banger for sure

I just have a playlist I listen to for Make Believe through Hurley, I never listen to those in full:

    Perfect Situation
    This Is Such A Pity
    The Damage In Your Heart
    The Greatest Man
    Pork and Beans
    The Angel and The One
    The Spider
    King
    If You're Wondering
    Put Me Back Together
    Tripping Down The Freeway
    Memories
    Ruling Me
    Unspoken
    Run Away
    Hang On

    Don't @ me about Memories

Only been out for 4 days, but Take on Me has already matched the streaming numbers for Zombie Bastards.

Man, I really hope the hype for Teal boosts interest in their next single.

I can’t come close to making it through Hurley. But Ruling Me is one of my fave Weezer songs ever.

If you ever happen to have Weezer on shuffle, and you have Beverly Hills and the Sweater Song back to back, and you listen to them one right after another, that might not feel good for the people who hate BH. Because turns out, those songs have the same chord progression, the same structure, nearly the same tempo and - depending on how you want to interpret the meaning of the Sweater Song - the same themes.

Which isn’t to say that they’re equally good. But BH came out at a time when you could still argue Weezer was trying to be in some way serious - Green was seen as an ironic response to Pinkerton, and Maladroit (which somehow never gets the love it should) was a perfect blend of Blue and Pinkerton. BH was a song about being famous, which debuted with a video at the Playboy mansion - the timing of it meant it had a reputation as garbage before most people had every heard it. And a lot of people just said ‘this isn’t Weezer,’ which not only failed to foresee what the future would bring, but also failed to look back at what the past had been.

Beverly Hills is what Weezer has always been. Their fans just didn’t see it until then.

Green is a very good pop record. I think a lot of people who got into the band post-Green tend to overlook it, but at the time it came out I don't recall a lot of backlash IRL. I was too young to give a shit about what critics were saying
