I think I hate this woman.

 

I'm like, okay, you're my partner's mother. But I'm a very outspoken person and every time she comes over she tries to do this herbal healing all medicine and food is evil thing and it's just really...bad...

 

Wow. Alrighty tell her she's probably never even eaten rice from China unless she's been there. Most jasmine rice is imported from Thailand.

my fave was when she said "i think my problem is that i've dated bisexual people and they're just greedy and can't settle with one person ever." like she probably doesn't know i'm bi, but like who just says things like that

ben and i are on our 3rd bottle of wine and she just left after 5 hours of this shit.

 

Based on everything we know about this woman, why do you just assume she'll even know the difference between Thailand and China? Come on.

 

I want to see how this really white woman would react. White people both frustrate me and stir my curiosity. Such fascinating creatures.

 

We are indeed a curious breed. I surprise myself daily.

 

Here is how the conversation went.

Ben: what do you mean "fake rice"
Ben's Mom: oh you have to make sure it's from america because in china they're manufacturing plastic rice
B: where on earth did you read that
BM: -pulls up some dumbass completely bullshit site- see it says right here!
B: that is not even possible, I'm sorry
BM: why do you dismiss everything I say?! just absorb the information! you're so rude. you know not of what you speak.

(she literally says that by the way)

Another great example. Ben was literally a neuroscience major and an EMT before deciding to focus on computers and writing. He has explained to her, several times, why it was important that when his sister's appendix burst, she go to the emergency room and have surgery. His mom continually tells him that the appendix is necessary and that he has not even studied anything to do with the body (lmfao) and that doctors can't be trusted. It is honestly like talking to a brick wall.

I got 3 solicited calls within a couple hours of each other today. One from somewhere in AZ, one from NY, and one from AL. Wtf.

 

I'm so broke and I don't know how I'm going to pay for all this shit. And my hours got cut back at work just in time to fuck everything up even more oh boyyyyyyy!

This group of people (group of 3) came into my work today and ugh. They seemed ~rushed liked they kept trying to walk away when I would try to ask questions and guide everything along. One guys for his order saying I want the (name of one of our pizzas) salad. I'm like those are our pizzas, we don't have that as a salad. Guy: I thought they were all the same. Me: -.- guy: i want everything in the salad the pizza comes with... Me: so bbq sauce is okay. Guy: no bbq

People on this site who ignore my messages because I'd rather not hash shit out in the threads.

 

Not so much a frustration..well maybe I guess. I take my state EMT exam on Tuesday. Our class went WAY longer (45 weeks vs the 16 it should have been)..and I took my practice test and passed but of course..my weakness was airway stuff. Most important stuff. Ugh it stresses me out. The test is randomized but I'm fearing most of my stuff will be airway related.

Now...I know to make sure you're breathing first thing first...and I know what to do if you're not. But all the technical bullshit that will NEVER apply to in-field care...ugh. Suck it, airway.

 

Oooh, man. Between this whole series of posts and the servers' complaints, which resonate all too much with me, I really might need to stay out of here before I throw my computer at the floor. I am so sorry you had to put up with this shit, my mom has always been annoyingly and outwardly stubborn and oblivious/ignorant, and man, 'talking to a brick wall' couldn't sum it up better. Thank god she didn't pass it on.

 

If she believes in the power of crystals, then there is no hope for that lady.
