Successfully got my Switch swapped out for a non-bundled version, no questions asked! Woot. They just gave me a $299 gift card to go back and buy another which is cool because I'm sure that gives me another 30 days if I have any issues with this one since it's a "new" purchase

Aaand the new Switch can't find my 5ghz wifi network. Only the 2.4ghz. So weird because it's finding my neighbor's 5ghz network fine.. didn't have this issue with my other console and my phone is connected to the network. Maybe once it finishes this software update..

 

Hmm. Finally connected to the 5ghz after rescanning like 8 times haha. Noticed that the download speeds are only 33mbps when my phone gets 175mbps, though. Don't know if that's just Nintendo's crappy firmware, never paid attention to the speeds on the old one since it connected right away

Anyone notice that one of their joycons is really loose in standalone? My replacement switch has a super tight fit on the right, but the left one barely needs to be even pushed on to pull it in and out. It still works fine and doesn't fall out or anything, but it definitely wobbles a bit if I grab it and loosely wiggle it.

Seems to be the joycon itself and not the railing on the console but I can't see a noticeable difference between the two when looking at them

 

That’s how they got on my first switch. You don’t have to push the button at all to take the joycons off the switch. Barely using any force to pull them does the trick. They do stay on though.

Is it even beatable? I have MARIO maker but I’ve never played it really so I don’t know if you can just put whatever up and pass it as a level

 

you have to finish the level yourself before you can upload it

 

it would be hilarious if he was able to finish it and after uploading someone else finishes it after an hour or something

 

It is, he beat all “parts” independently, but never the whole thing at once

 

I'm posting this here too because even though the game is not on Switch, I have noticed that the Switch has gotten new people into indie games:

I wanted to recommend this podcast to all of you a while ago, but I never got around to it. It's a podcast about the fascinating story (and mystery, depending on who you ask) behind Yume Nikki, a Japanese psychological horror indie game from 2003-2004 and arguably one of the earliest *modern* indie games (you might even call it a walking simulator, though it is a top down, pixelated game). The podcast itself is very well done and only 7 episodes long. It's really interesting.

Also, the game is available on Steam and has received a bad 3D remake that's also on Steam. There's also a browser version, if you look around a little.
