Yeah can't wait for that Ithaca album and their release show, haven't seen them in ages

 

My favourite Trivium albums (as in the ones I think are good and not total tripe) are;

1. In Waves
2. The Sin And The Sentence
3. Ascendancy
4. Shogun
5. Ember To Inferno

And honestly I wasn't big on them for ages since In Waves until their last album came out. Since hearing that and loving it so much I went back and found myself appreciating them more again after all these years.

 

That makes three of us.

Welcome to the club mate. We have cool, kinda crusty chaotic hardcore. No punch, pie or free hats though...

 

I know it’s not exactly spot on, but some of their guitar riffs remind me of fear before the march of flames. Which is awesome. I’m excited to hear more.

 

ETS or Ithaca? Because I feel like for either that would be pretty appropriate and a fair assessment.

 

I don't what everyone's feeling on these guys are, but I've been absolutely loving this band and this album is rather great. Nothing groundbreaking but a great cross between skramz and metalcore. Reminds me of a more raw, less flamboyant Old Wounds (who I also like by the way).

 

Album is cool, band name is terrible.

 

Wristmeetrazor, seeyouspacecowboy, Old Wounds would be the sassiest tour, and I'd love it.

 

I was referring to Ithaca. But I should probably check ETS too huh?

 

It is pretty wack, but it's kind of kitschy and cute to me as a recovering 00s scene kid. Glad to see we can agree on the music though.

I enjoyed the Swallow the Sun album, When a Shadow Is Forced Into the Light.

 

Didnt come out this week but Deveneror dropped a kickass full length a couple weeks back. Solid DsO-esque, kind of psych black metal. That not many people seem to be talking about.

 

Now this is my kind of party. An improvement from their EP last year.

 

I keep seeing Ithaca name dropped around here. What are they, any similar artists? I keep thinking of the Ithaqua, the hellenic black metal band that only has a couple demos out.

 

Ithaca are a British metallic hardcore band with a chaotic sound and a slightly crusty twist. Very influenced by Botch, Norma Jean and The Chariot with touches of Rise And Fall and Trap Them as well. If you're into chaotic, aggressive metallic hardcore they're well worth a listen.

 

I'm more into Hellenic Black metal but I'll check them out if the itch occurs. Thanks for the information :)

I have already they are pretty good! Kind of like Harakiri for the Sky with a their own twist.
