Watching Abducted in Plain Sight. This is WILD.

 

I saw that last night and knew I had to save it for the weekend because once I start that I know I’m not stopping until I finish all the episodes (assuming it’s a show and not a doc or movie idek)

 

Just a documentary I think. Hour and a half long. It just keeps getting more and more crazy.

 

Omg I can’t beleive I didn’t talk about that here!! Right it is fucking WILD and really shows how drastically things have changed in such a short period of time (As far as parenting, pedophiles, missing children cases etc goes)

 

Starting the Ted Bundy tapes now. Woohoo!

there was a documentary i watched a few years ago (and this one may bring it up) about a 8 year old paper boy that went missing in Iowa in like 1986 and back then there were none of the current laws and rules regarding missing kids in place. back then (only the fucking late 80's) kids were treated like adults, it was so wild to learn that that's how things were handled barely 35 years ago.

i distinctly remember the cops were like, "well, he's not technically a missing person until he's gone 72 hours. he maybe just ran away, he'll be back soon *shrug*" and i was like WHOA. holy shit, no wonder so many kids went missing back then (combine that with lack of surveillance / cameras / no cell phones and i wonder how the entire population didn't go missing lol) and still baffles me how it took so long to change things.

 

Gave up on You because it was making me too angry so now I’m watching more Sex Education and they just made me bawl my eyes out so it’s just a day for strong emotions I guess.

 

Bawling your eyes out? Really? Sounds like it'd be right up my alley then. Maybe I'll give it a watch. Honestly haven't read or seen too much about it so idk how it's been received

 

Honestly I have no idea if the particular scene would mess with others as hard. They used one of my favorite songs of all time that always makes me cry and it was a really emotional scene. I’ve heard it gets more intense as it goes on so I may lose it again. You liked Wanderlust right?

 

Yesss I’ve seen that one!! Exactly it’s so wild knowing that was JUST barely before all of our time (or maybe even for some of us WAS the time of childhood) which is such a drastic difference than now when parents have literal gps on their kids at all times and parents get arrested for letting their kids walk to the park by themselves

 

Been received extremely well in and around the UK. It's very good.

Finally watching Safe. So weird seeing Michael C Hall with a British accent.

 

It's honestly one of the main reasons I haven't watched it yet. I'm not sure if I can handle seeing/hearing that.

It’s crazy how he managed to manipulate not just a young girl but both of her parents as well. Like they literally gave him to her.

Tried to give You another shot but I got a minute in and he talked about her father not being there for her and then sniffed her underwear so I’m definitely bowing out of this forever. If someone wants to PM me that he dies gruesomely and it’s worth it for that, feel free. Otherwise it’s a no from me.
