Yeah, I don't think they are popular enough here for their own thread so we gotta hype em up where we can lol

Aw man, I am so very jealous but also glad to you got to experience them. I don't think they ever made it out here to Australia but they were rather popular in the underground scene here to the point that I saw a lot of people wearing Apology t-shirts at shows in 2016.

Based on a quick cursory Google check, it looks like they made it out your way in 2015. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. :(

I'm probably very late here and it's likely already been mentioned, but did anyone here that Architects cover of "Change" by Deftones?

Wow. Talk about anemic. I like Architects but that cover is just boring as fuck. I figured if anyone in metalcore could really pull off a Chino moment it would be Sam Carter but I guess not.

Yeah I was not a fan of that cover at all. I generally like Deftones covers, but that one was a hot mess.

Also, I saw Weekend Nachos once at Bogies in Albany back in 2010 or so, but they weren't popular at all at the time. Was a fun small show. That venue was literally a room.

Right? Such a snoozefest, and I would've honestly thought Sam Carter would be the metalcore frontman to pull it off (well, except maybe Corey Brandan).

Fuck it, let's get some good Deftones covers here...

    Just some of my favourites.

Sevendust is fucking great. Shit, I was listening to Seasons the other day.

Also fucking great. Hugely influenced Misery Signals.

Also also any cover of "Change" by Deftones without Maynard is dumb

The most mind boggling thing about Shai Hulud is that Chad Gilbert was their original singer and went on to form New Found Glory and came back to sing on Reach Beyond the Sun.

If you like them, check out Strongarm. Pre-Further Seems Forever.

Here's a pretty damn good atmospheric black metal release that came out today. FFO Harakiri for the sky, Deafheaven.

that basically describes half of the emo/post-hardcore scene around 2010.

*i realize this is a generalization, but i feel like i couldn't go a week around that time without a new non-hardcore band forming with ex-members from hardcore bands.

This band is could blow up. Nothing mindblowing, but their sound is very much what’s been in the past 2 years and this is like Code Orange though with a much bigger nu-Metal influence.
