Sam will be leaving Makeout after their tour with Story Untold, Handguns & Oh Weatherly. If I had to guess I'd say odds are they'll break up fairly soon.

Is it that tour already done? Wonder when they are going to make the announcement.

 

I wonder if Rise even picked up the option on their next album. I would think yes given that they've outlasted a lot of Rise's other new artist signings (I mean shit they dropped that Modern Maps album in June and the band was off the label by November), but the "our singer/guitarist/creative guru doesn't wanna do it anymore" explanation is also a pretty good cover for not getting optioned.

 

Anyone who considers a guy who pinned the line "go choke on a hot dog from 7-11" as a creative guru is not someone I trust to judge art in entertainment. Seriously how the fuck did anyone seriously tell people that song was relatable to them?

 

Well let me make you real sad then: Travis Barker and John Feldmann are co-writers (along with Lil Aaron) on that song.

(I've also now gleaned from pulling that up that 1) the singer is the only listed songwriter for any of that band's tracks, and 2) he's not listed as being registered with a PRO so as to collect money on those tracks... lol)

It took me only 7 hours, and a mood to not do any schoolwork one day to write my magnum opus-- a joke song about my girlfriend's ass -- in middle school. And, not to brag, that was way better than anything Makeout have ever done.

 

Probably less about the lyrics and more so the instrumentals and melodies, theres no way it took the brainpower of 4 dudes to rhyme kevin and 7-11

 

I just want to know who's guilty for the 7-11 hot dog line. We've already established that the song is misogynistic trash numerous times, but this line is just offensive from a creative standpoint.

i completely understand why its not coming to chicago (future teens was just here and worlds greatest dad is doing other dates here, and they ARE doing champaign) but this is such a dream lineup im debating going to Madison since its on a friday
