the name sounded familiar to me for some reason. i wonder if Mark mentioned the name in an interview a few years ago or something.

I'm actually liking it the more I listen to it. Though I also like some of the other acts that have that kind of blend between indie rock, pop, and sampled percussion like Brick+Mortar, Borns, etc.

Curious to see if this song will be way more pop-oriented than the others or what. The only part that takes me out of the song at all is the "Na Na" part which almost sounds like a damn joke to say at this point.

I don't hate it. It's more indifference. I listened to it a couple of times and there was nothing that made me want to listen to it again.

 

Not the reaction I expected. Or, maybe the exact reaction I expected. Can’t tell.

I’m not surprised tbh. But I like it too but is that surprising?

 

Needs more mark and his sweet bass tones but otherwise it’s a good summer jam.

 

You know outside of +44, the Tonight Alive track "Thank You & Goodnight", "Elevator" by Box Car Racer and Owl City's "Dementia" I'm not really a fan of Mark's side project work.

I thought the song was ok. Middle of the road is a perfect description of the song. Will listen to the rest of the EP because I'm a blink fan boy but yeah.

 

Didn't like it at all. Just seems meh to me.

I don't mind it but it's also nothing very special imo considering who's involved.

 

To me, it just sounds like another All Time Low song, and I have never liked them, so yeah... Mark only seems like a feature on this.

For some reason I don’t think Mark would start a new band with someone and only be an afterthought in the process.

 

Those Na Na's suck, but hopefully this means he's got them all out of his system in preparation for Blink.

 

I think it's a fun side project nothing ground breaking but it's a fun song!

 

I hate to burst everyone's bubble ... but I'm going to assume there will be "nah nah" sounds on Blink-182 songs.

Agreed. I feel bad for the people who believe there won't be any nah-nah's on the next Blink album... haha.

 

Agreed. Best to say nothing and drop it like this. Love it. Good roll out imo with social media branding tied in already, etc. I love the “June 2010” member-since tag on the twitter. Must have paid someone for the account. This sounds like +44 meets ATL. Something about mark’s vocal delivery/ melodies that is reminiscent of that record. Alex just sounds like Alex which I’m a fan of so no harm done.

 

I was thinking that same thing when this side project got brought up yesterday or the day before... I half expected to forget about it, so I was definitely surprised we got a song the next day.

 

Really wish we got that Mark/Matt Skiba Cereal Killers children lullaby album they were talking about before Tom quit/got kicked out.

Outside of Nothing and Nobody and that Cereal Killers project, were their any others? You're right that it seems like Mark has announced a lot of side projects that have never gone through.
