-I cried the first time I ever listened to Last Hope. I think it's the strongest initial reaction I ever had to a song and still kills me until this day.
-Went with Interlude over Native Tongue because I really like the whole concept of including the interludes, and I thought NT was pretty forgettable.
-Daydreaming vs. Still Into You was my hardest match up here. I truly love Still Into You, but Daydreaming is just such a gorgeous song, so I had to give it the edge.
-Be Alone is one of Paramore's most underrated songs, and Proof is one of the most overrated (probably my least favorite on the album), so that one was a no brainer.

I love how weird this song is while still being such a straight up blast to listen to. It’s really representative to me of their sort of “loose” feel at the time while still being tighter than they’d ever been.

No big story here, I just don’t really care for Native Tongue

Really tough choice here, I love both of these songs. But man, what a perfect single this was for them! I love this guitar lines in the verses, and Hayley really coming into a different type of animated identity than she’d been know for in the past. Also the line about going to meet the mother and the drive back home afterward always pulls at my heartstrings

Proof
Couldn’t have been an easier choice here, IMO this is the album’s best track vs the album’s worst track (one of the worst in their discog if I’m being real). Man, the release to the chorus in Proof is so gratifying after those verses build you up. And not like this isn’t all over the record, but a stellar performance from Jeremy, especially in the bridge.

This is the album that made me a fan! I still remember the first time listening, It was an experience

 

I slept on this album for a long time. The only songs I knew were the singles. One day YouTube suggested I watch this performance

After that I decided to give it another spin and realized I had made a huge mistake

I remember showing this record to everybody whether they were for or indifferent about Paramore. Although this record is filled with more songs I don’t tend to revisit as much compared to the other records, this release felt like a rebirth. The tracks that hit fucking hit. Future, Daydreaming, Last Hope, Ain’t It Fun, and Part II still kill me.

Lots of matchups! The only one I was bummed to vote against was Grow Up, but realistically I wouldn’t want it to win the album anyway. Great track though!

 

Gutted that Still Into You got booted - especially by a clunker like Daydreaming but hey
