Lol at People saying calvin knew and then correcting to say he didnt. I def think Taylors pr tried to get in there first and calvin set them straight. I love a good scandal. Now, West’s wife Kim Kardashian West has spoken out in a new interview with GQ, saying that Swift “totally approved that” song. Further, she believes there’s video of the alleged approval phone call because West commissions a videographer to film everything while he’s making an album. It’s unlikely, however, that footage will surface because Kardashian West says Swift sent a letter with her attorney that asserted, “Don’t ever let that footage come out of me saying that. Destroy it.”

Is that statement from her team real??? I thought it was fake cause it was so much shadier than anything she'd normally release in a statement

I'm not sure what the truth is. I feel like Kanye called her to notify but I don't believe for a second that Taylor would approve it without listening to it or knowing what the lyric would be so either she knew, or Kanye changed it after imo

 

my position from day one has basically been that they definitely talked and just came away with radically different understandings of the conversation they had. it seems blatantly absurd that taylors team would claim she "cautioned him" about such a misogynist song (had she never heard a kanye track before?) but equally insane to me that kanye thinks she gave the go ahead to drop a song where he says those specific words about her. its somewhere in the middle. give me the raw video or just let the whole thing go imo

 

Didn't Kanye admit that he didn't exactly run it past Taylor in some interview recently? I forget what article it was. I think it was an article posted when Champions dropped.

 

Those are two completely different takeaways of a conversation. So somebody is being shady.
