Whose track do we think Drake will jump on this summer? I was thinking about this yesterday and can't think of one I've heard yet. Been paying a lot less attention to up and comers this year though.

Love that beat, still not sold on Towkio, sounds like a watered down Vic verse.

 

Would love a new Towkio EP. .Wav Theory really surprised me and Heaven Only Knows ended up being one of my favorite songs last year.

Pretty much every member of Savemoney is fantastic actually. I've seen Towkio twice (opening for both Chance and Vic) and he put on an amazing show both times, and now I get to see Joey Purp open for Vic again next month. I think they're the most consistently good modern rap collective right now (unless you count Black Hippy which I don't really)

 

I guess Wayne dropped a new song, it's from a video game or an app or something

 

first time listening to a YG record with Still Brazy and im thoroughly impressed. really cool west coasty sound

 

I was honestly pretty disappointed by Still Brazy, I thought MKL was loads better

 

that production though

 

MKL is great but still brazy has better production by far and better lyrics/flows from yg himself. mustard's production style is just too one dimensional. yeah, brazy is a west coast gangsta rap album through and through with a focus on g funk as the influence for the production but i still find it to be much more varied, and while a few touch that mustard style in general the sound design, the bass grooves, and the drum programming are all far more interesting and have far more depth to them. mustard's beats from that era were pre-set city.
