Yeah, I've done that on the computer itself, and it works fine. Keeps the iCloud library and the My Music library segregated.

Problem is when I'm on my phone, the iCloud library and My Music are merged, and I can't unmerge them. If I turn iCloud off, my playlists composed of Apple Music songs disappear. If I keep it on, EVERYTHING appears in the My Music library, (even though they don't on the computer).....if I'm making ANY sense at all, haha.

Maybe this feature has already been added or is a planned update and I just don't know it yet but I wish albums that are up for pre-order on iTunes/Apple Music had an option to automatically download to mobile when the album is released.

My phone always did that. There's an option in Settings/Itunes Store and App Store where you can set automatic downloads.

Is there a solution for when you have songs that simply won't download through Apple Music? Like I'll make a record available offline but only 9 out of 11 will download and for some reason no matter what I do I can't get the other two to download.

    Solutions I've tried

    1. Deleting the songs and trying again.

    2. Removing album from iCloud library and adding it back.

    3. Clearing iCloud library completely and adding it back..

    4. Turning phone on and off

Any other suggestions? And is this a known bug?

Really hope they got the music bugs out. Sometimes I'll play tracks that I downloaded to my phone from Apple Music and some of them will skip to the next track in the middle of the song. If I turn the phone off and on, it will work fine.

Any of you guys know where best to head if I'm having iTunes issues?

I downloaded iTunes 12.4.1 to my Windows 10 laptop last night. However, I am now unable to add any new files or folders to my library. I go to File > Add File/ Folder To Library, and select the file I want to add. It then makes the notification noise as usual to indicate that a transfer has been completed, but the files do not get added to the library.

I'm at a complete loss. I have tried going to Edit>Preferences>Advanced and changing folder location, as well as ticking boxes regarding Copying Files and Keeping Media Folder Organised, but neither seem to help.

I have also made sure I have the latest version of Quicktime installed, as I found a post perhaps linking that to the issues, but again it has not helped.

Anyone had any similar issues? Please, any help would be appreciated... I'm at a complete loss... Tried everything I can find related to this online, and nothing is working. Really want to listen to the new Hotelier and Modern Baseball records aha...

Just read that if you delete an app like Mail and you click on a link that would take you to that app, it just tells you to redownload the app even if you have another app that does the same job.

Yep. No way, in the first beta at least, to change default apps.

It's not technically even deleted as of right now in beta 1. If you "delete" it, then turn on airplane mode and go to the AppStore to redownload with the cloud icon, when you hit it once it says open and then shows up on your home screen again

Sucks that the Warriors lost the NBA Finals, now Apple is going to brick everyone's devices :\

I would assume it will remain this way. Even on Android unless you root your phone deleting most of the stock apps doesn't truly delete them, just disables them and uninstalls all the updates. There are often apis in the stock apps that other apps need to use. Getting them off my homescreen is good enough for me.

So, this happened to me when I had two songs off an album in my collection for some reason and then I tried to download the whole album. I just went through and downloaded the songs one by one and it worked. This is probably a different issue but maybe that will work

    I'm Back.

Does anyone know why an iPhone can't send a text to an android? My son has a 5c and I guess he texted me a bunch of times, but I can't get them on my galaxy s6. I've heard of iMessages not going through as SMS to other phones, would that be an issue?

  17. Is your phone number associated with your Apple ID? I've had that issue with friends before.

iPhone can certainly send an SMS to other phones. If you recently switched from an iPhone using iMessage, then it takes a few days to dissociate your number from iMessage. Other than that, I wouldn't have a clue unless it's SIM related.

Did you have an iPhone previously? if so you'll have to disassociate your phone number with iMessage. go here and follow the second process Deregister and Turn Off iMessage - Apple Support

Yes, this is the biggest pain in the ass at the moment. Pre release tracks or preorder bonuses are a nightmare to get to. You often have to go all the way through the artist profile and do it manually as they don't propagate in your library for a few days.

Yeah I think people saying this feature already exists are talking about when you preorder an album in iTunes and actually buy it. I'm talking about adding an album to mobile in Apple Music before the whole thing is released and having most of the tracks greyed out. I wish that when the whole thing was released it would automatically add the rest of the album to mobile.

I don't think I've ever had a similar issue with iTunes that I can remember. Are you sure it's not putting them in your library, but filing them under 'unknown artist', 'unknown album' etc...because that happens to me on occasion if the ID tags are incorrect are empty. You may have already tried this, but I would try to re-install iTunes.

Thanks for replying! Hmm, I've searched right through my library for them, and can't find anything. i had a similar issue a few months ago with the new 1975 record, which was just creating a playlist, instead of adding them to my library, but that was unique to that record. I don't think its anything to do with file names in Windows, as the issue persists with records that I've added previously, and now refuse to add if I delete the album from my library and try to re-add it.

If I uninstall/ re-install iTunes, will it delete my library and I'll have to add everything again manually?

Is it only certain songs, or is any song that you try to import?

edit: nvm, I see you said any new files
