The Cure influence is all over Videograms. Not bad for 'Robert Smiths favourite band'. Seems like he's been a great friend and muse for them, especially since Scott died.

Various tour dates for the rest of the year too. Please catch them on tour.

They are one of the best bands that ever existed and they are some of the nicest guys. James will make you feel so much seeing him put that much into his performance.

    I do not exist.

Didn't realise this was coming out in January. The two songs above sound good.

I discovered this band on Teletext if anyone from the UK remembers that. Makes me laugh thinking about it, especially now that we have the internet immediately accessible on our phones.

  4. One of the tracks they've been previewing on tour dropped without warning today. Holy fucking shit I need this record NOW.

    It is out!

Really good first impressions. A lot of synth. James' lyrics definitely seem dark again but really need them to read along with.

'Auge/Machine' was my favourite out of the one's I hadn't heard.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

    what a terrific album

would enjoy it even more if it was winter here and not ungodly blazing hot

Do or do not, there is no try.

Very strong start to the year! Xcerts last year, Twighlight Sad this year. Scottish bands open strong.

I’ve never heard of the Twilight Sad, but a Scottish band with heavy the Cure influence, and a “similar artist” on Spotify as We Were Promised Jetpacks and Frightened Rabbit brought me here.

This album is very good. I’m intrigued!

You've got loads of good stuff to explore now with them.

Start at the start and go forward. It makes it understandable!

I'm going to keep this thread close to the top until everyone listens to this. The band are incredible and deserve all the praise for this album. They are such an experience live too - James is outstanding.

  19. This is probably going to be AOTY 2019 for me unless something truly staggering comes along. The first time I listened to this I wasn't sure about the running order and felt like some songs got swallowed up when placed next to each other but I listened to this pretty much daily since then and have no issues with the tracklisting anymore. They need to get Let/s Get Lost out as a single.

Listened to it constantly. 'Girl Chewing Gum' and 'Auge/Maschine' early favourites. The Cure influences all over this.

This is a fully realised, fleshed out album of ideas they started introducing on No One Can Ever Know. Underrated that'll find a lot more love on fans revisits now.
