what's it like being an Angels fan? A team that basically spent every last penny on Pujols and has been stuck in reverse since

 

And a team who's paying the most money to Josh Hamilton this year, right? Oof.

 

It's depressing. Honestly feels like the worst year in the Scioscia era with the way the season has gone. Too many injuries, too many bad contracts. The Hamilton contract will always be the worst just for the simple fact it pushed Torri away. A fan favorite, Torri had one of his best seasons as an Angel his final year (Trout's rookie). There was a lot of hope back then, but the story has turned to embarrassment in the years since. The list of disappointing players is deep. Vernon Wells, Gary Matthews, Hamilton, CJ Wilson, and Weaver (his fall from grace is just sad) are just some of the many faults of this organization.

At the end of the day I still have my World Series memories as an eight year old watching Spiezo slam one to right at a Halloween party while all the other kids were outside or my mom taking me out of school to go to Disneyland for the parade. It would take a miracle for any of that to happen now. The only joy I get from this team now is watching Trout, Calhoun, Giavotella, and Simmonds play.

 

I think Freddie is out of his slump! Woohoo.

 

Damn Colby lost his perfecto with 2 outs in the 8th with a walk. What a game!

Last year and next. Basically Rangers paid only 7 MM for 3 years of Hambone

 

the rangers have the absolute worst luck when it comes to no hitters/perfect games

 

The Effectively Wild page seems to be so glad he didn't get it because he didn't deserve it. Apparently having a low K rate makes you unworthy.

 

I find that logic of a low strikeout total to be complete bush. A perfect game regardless is incredible. The only thing I find that hinders the effect of a no hitter is a high walk rate. Looking at you Edwin Jackson!

 

Incredible. At least they're not getting much use out of him? Ha...

Well the Hazelbaker story is over. It was nice while it lasted.

And Fulmer gives up a run. That sucks. He's been fun to watch.

 

I love three homer games, three run home runs, and triples. And when pitchers strike out the side. I love threes.

 

I like cycles! So fun.

 

used to be my favorite player so this is nice to see
