So apparently there was/is a controversy at a school around here surrounding a girls basketball team because the word ‘thug’ was used by one of the coaches when telling the girls to not play ‘like thugs’ because the other team was hard fouling them, and now the guy is a racist and etc.

From what I know of him he’s definitely not racist...but the parents don’t seem to be okay with getting him an education on why that term is a bad one to use. Meh. Not sure what’s gonna happen.

My favorite is when I have people that visit in Lansing and they’re like “let’s drive by the capital” and I do, particularly at night, because it’s gorgeous. Then they’re like “they really let the roads just be like this?”

I don't think they'd market razors that are just for shaving there,would be hard to market

 

imo it took way too long for this supposedly woke razor brand to finally take a stand against toxic masculinity. I am not here for it

It’s days like today, events like this razor thing, that really just make me ... depressed. It makes me hate the internet. Hate people. Angry in ways that don’t make me feel good. It sucks the motivation out of me to do work and I end up sitting here looking at my screen and just feeling an overwhelming sense of anger and dread about the world.

These people, so many of them, are just so god damn fucking stupid that I see no real way forward. And that feeling zaps my energy level for hours on end. It’s not good.

 

You can't let them win, man. The fight needs you.

 

For what it's worth, and it might not be much, but this site helps remind me that there are some sensible, caring people out there. I'm grateful to you and this community for that.

 

Holy fuck is this evil.

 

It does the same for me and has for a long time, but especially lately with what feels to me like the increased insanity of the world around us.
