He will never be happy for anyone but himself.

 

I wish Ichiro had played his whole career here. Pete Rose is the whiniest person ever. Probably the only reason this is even any kind of story is cause Rose is so damn unlikeable. I would love to see his record go down.

 

It has now been one year since Francisco Lindor blessed us all with his presence in Major League Baseball. Praise be.

That's awesome. On my annual trip to Pittsburgh last year, I bought his jersey tee at the ballpark and then that day he hit two home runs. I was pretty thrilled to say the least.

 

So glad to see Taillon pitch the way he did last night, but I'm curious to see how much of that was his effectiveness and how much came from the result of pitching to a Mets team that isn't firing on all cylinders lately. I'm hoping it's a sign of things to come for him.

Yup. I grew up in a house full of Cardinal fans, and when people ask how the fuck I became such a huge Cubs fan, I always tell them it's because they were always on TV. Harry Caray was hilarious to listen to, Andre Dawson hit tons of homers, and I thought St. Louis was boring and Chicago was awesome.

 

The Yankees starters are so goddamn infuriatingly inconsistent.
