I think the left guitar dials in the dirt and breaks up nicely. And it’s a nice contrast to the right guitar which sounds to me like a warm sustained neck pick up with a dirty clean.

 

The mix feels off to me as well. Detracts from an otherwise great song

 

its not the tone its how it sits in the mix and which frequencies are emphasized

 

I completely forgot the album is just 10 tracks. Have we seen the runtime anywhere? Wonder if one of them is extra long.

Just wanna point out that You Ascendant, the closer, is listed as 7:15 on google. Not sure if this is accurate though, because it lists Rose Quartz as 3:23, but Rose Quartz is on bandcamp as being about a minute. But if we get a 7 minute closer, that would be fucking cool.

I don’t feel like a huge enough La Dispute fan to have a La Dispute dream, but I did indeed have a La Dispute dream and in the dream there were three songs over six minutes on this album. If this was prophetic, it’s the most obscure prophecy I’ve made in my life so far.

i honestly would be okay if we dont get another single. it's been hard enough holding off from listening to these 3 songs more than a handful of times. the release is still so far away.

Yes, I'm not listening to any more songs until release day. One or two is fine but after that I still prefer to listen to the whole thing.

Cloudy or rainy. Although we did have a heatwave summer 2018 which was nice.
