Does anyone else wish that Teppei's lead in Black Honey's chorus was a bit louder? It's so good when I hear it live as well as during that studio video without vocals. I love the song, don't get me wrong, and feel that the production is their best to date. However, for me, that's the one hair in the soup as far as the mix goes.

Actually, Death from Above has that weird volume issue around the 1:30 mark, but still, Palmquist crushed this record. I hope he's back for the next one. I'd be shocked if he wasn't.

    The Pageant! Woo hoo!!!

Now that it's coming to STL I wish I hadn't seen the setlist. I only looked because I didn't think I'd get to see it.

Living the dream :-) Getting into them around the end of Vhessiu and saw them for the first time touring Fire/Water, I would kill to have seen them during the Illusion and Artist days when they had insane energy and did that crazy cool outro to Cold Cash, Colder Hearts.

Excellent list. I would also add Anthology (the entire track) as a favorite "moment" for so many reasons: Its position as the set closer for the band's farewell shows, the pure energy and elation in the music (they don't do "happy" very often), and the joy that hits when you first realize what Dustin was doing with the lyrics. It really felt like a personal farewell letter to the fans, and IMO was the highest note that the band's career could end on. (back when "indefinite hiatus" potentially meant just that)

And in addition to Hurricane, I would also throw in the intro/verse from The Long Defeat. There's just so much confidence in the songwriting and musicianship on those two tracks, and knowing exactly when to let loose and when to dial it back. They don't sound like the work of a band that's been on hiatus for half a decade.

You should absolutely go see Thrice if you've never seen them before. One band that is truly worth seeing live.

They did that with Atlantic. They built that sample into a song. Seneca could work too.

I totally agree. I'd love to hear an expanded "Seneca the Younger". As I said, they filled out the original sample that was Atlantic into an awesome song.

Jair wondering where they'd release a b-side though. No many compilations anymore. Maybe a single or record store day thing.

The sample? They used to have it looped on their site way back when. It was like 30-40 seconds or so.
It's what now is sort of Atlantics key opening.

This the extended outro you are talking about?

Also: looks like they have used the symbol they associate with one of the Beggars album cover's n the past as seen on stage here. Didn't know.

I feel like putting a sample/demo of Atlantic on their website is vastly different from officially releasing a song like Seneca worldwide, but maybe that's just me.

Bummed that they don't do the outro for Cold Cash anymore. It's def one of their most epic moments.
