Iirc, country music was a product of the dust bowl era and is very much tied that time in American history. So much so that when artists who weren’t affected by the dust bowl started making country music, they were hated on at first because it was created to represent the struggle that those people were going through. Anyway, it’s very much an American thing but I’m sure other countries have their own version of this okay bye
