It's hard for me to think of bands I didn't like live that I didn't already have a bias against.

Yo anyone else notice that chorus has surpassed 10k members now? Assuming I'm late because I usually am lol

The other day CIWWAF's "Risque" came on shuffle. Not even going to pretend like I don't know most of the songs on that album. I'd blame my female friends in high school, but in reality my entire high school friend group loved them.

Lol this a good one though. I do think me and you like some of the same styles of music but almost never the same people/bands. Except Thrice.

I could still probably sing every song. I retain lyrics more than anything actually useful.

Between the Buried and Me was super boring when I saw them, but that was over ten years ago and I heard they learned to actually move around when they play.

I love Saves the Day. TBC through IR is such a great three album stretch. I also grew up posting on their official message board and met one of my best friends there, so they're a really important band for me.

So we're the same person, cool. I rattled off the lyrics to Hit the Lights' "Bodybag" recently and was like, "Where did that come from?!"

Oh, for sure. I just like giving people a hard time. Steve in particular.

CIWWAF was a fine band for its time.

I never really respected the way they got signed.

Been listening to SWYA since you mentioned it, Henry. Really is a perfect album.

Literally heard that whiny "YOU'RE GONNA NEED A BODYBAG, ILL BREAK BONES YOU DIDNT KNOW YOU HAD" in my head just now. Haven't listened to that band in so many years lol

Didn't the singers dad pay for them to get on the label?

It's kind of weird/funny how music you didn't listen to back in that time can give you a similar nostalgic feeling of similar bands of that time. I only listened to SWYA like a year ago and the songs felt fresh yet familiar. I like that record though I've never listened to any other StD albums

They opened for Cartel on the Chroma 10 year tour and when that song started I lost my mind.

Yeah, the singer's dad dropped over $100K for them to record a demo. Insane money.

I didn't listen to that band but that doesn't surprise me much

I saw Emery in this tiny bar once and I was still recovering from knee surgery and I still had to use one crutch. I sat on a stool through the show and used my crutch/friends to defend myself from being hit. It was fun.

Maybe through touring but definitely not through record sales. I don't think daddy was trying to recoup though. He's funded that band the whole time so they never had to struggle even though it's never been largely successful. Singer is a giant tool also but when you're coddled ur whole life it's not that surprising.
