Yeah. Everything I read says that happens sometimes and that I MIGHT be able to get reimbursed further down the road. They're paying the difference which is prolly $1000.

 

You need to drop their insurance. Phuck these pieces of trash.

 

ok apparently that's how it works for all the companies, you pay it upfront, they pay the remainder then they get the deductible back.
I would call and verify that with them.
I think you'll get it back eventually.
I have usaa too and I think I got mine back a long time ago when I had an accident that wasn't my fault but it did take awhile.

usaa is pretty good (and expensive for a reason), I'd doubt they'd screw you on this.

I need to get USAA insurance, I use their banking

 

I have the lizard insurance and it's fine

 

their banking is pretty great too.

I still have some wells fargo accounts that I want to close but our mortgage for our rental house is through WF and it's convenient to have a checking account there too.

 

USAA is like the only big company I know run by legitimately good people wanting to do good

 

The banking is tight cause they refund all your ATM surcharges.

 

I mainly just hate the military affiliation but aside from that it's pretty good.

lol one thing I remembered about the accident-the other guy's truck is 100% fine. Zero damage. He had a big ass truck with a trailer hitch and that's the only thing that hit me. THAT is the main reason I thought I wouldn't have to pay a thing, haha.

 

I thought this at first too. but I believe its just comes down to taking care of veterans is part of the companys mission statement. I think thats great when someone can be pro taking care of veterans but not pro war or pro assholle politics.

Also this empathy extends to the homeless for them. They are super philantrhopic and they are involved in Haven for Hope in San Antonio, the most successful and expansive homeless help program in the entire USA.
