I want to play Fortnite with him

 

No one can play with him

 

Does anyone know if the small aircraft noise a PS4 makes is linked to the storage? If I get an external HDD do you think it would quieten down? I'm currently playing RDR2 and my TV has to be way up on volume before I can hear poor Arthur.

 

A full hard drive isn’t great but I don’t think that’s the problem here. Even my Xbox One X sounds like it’s about to launch when playing RDR2. It’s very demanding, and especially the base PS4/Xbox models are starting to show their age and limitations.

 

Yeah, I've mentioned this before but it's a Day One model so I don't doubt that it's definitely pushing it's limits right now. The hard drive is balls though, can only fit like 3/4 games and RDR2 is about 100gb. I did take it apart and clean it and it was quieter but not necessarily all that well.

I'll just need to put up with it, it's not that big an issue. Would just be a lot better otherwise!

 

For what it’s worth my PS4 Pro can get pretty loud too when playing “normal games”, and it’s empty. It is what it is.

 

Ah right, well there's nothing bad about a loud gaming system when its another excuse to turn that cinema system up.

 

That base model Xbox One was very silent, the one advantage of it being as big as an aircraft carrier

 

My release Xbox one only gets loud when I play 360 games or Xbox original games. Strange lol

Yeah it is very weird. Most notably on KOTOR

 

Emulation is very resource intensive. Frankly it’s a miracle it works on the Xbox One because people still haven’t figured out how to emulate the 360 consistently on more powerful PCs.

 

My PS4 Pro started getting loud during Ratchet & Clank now that it's in HDR.

 

I don't know if you guys already did this or something, but I thought I'd share my games of the year for 2018.

God Of War was my number one, but the rest are in no order:

And then the best games I played in 2018, but didn't come out this year:

Golf Story (I think I played it in 2018)

*One of the worst games I've played of all time. Which sucks because I really liked the first game.

 

As far as 2018 games goes:

1. Florence
2. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
3. Assassin’s Creed: Oddyssey
4. Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna - The Golden Country
5. Spiderman

I haven’t had time to play a lot of games this year, so really that’s almost a ranked list of “games I played”, haha. I played some Nino Kuni 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2, but not enough to put them on a list. I also wasted a weekend on Skyrim HD.

No, waiting for that Switch version, that way I might actually finish it

 

Ah makes sense. No doubt I'll play it again when it's out on Switch. Amazing game.

 

I haven't played Florence, but I want to get to that and GRIS.

I also almost said "this year" because I still think it's 2018 haha

 

I really wanted that pixel art 3DS version, I’m super pissed they didn’t localize it even though the 3DS treated the franchise so well in the West in recent years. I’m usually understanding but this one stings.

 

Florence is like an hour or something, probably less if I remember right, so definitely one to catch up on

 

Oh the worst game I played this year is the new Shaq Fu which I got for free because I bought the arcade basketball game which has since been removed from the store

 

Yeah that 3DS version looked really cool. Used my 3DS for the first time in ages recently to play VIII and it made me remember how good having two screens can be

 

I'm surprised it was bad considering the first one was received so well haha. I'm glad that at least got Shaq to do the voice acting.

 

Worst game I played last year is Vampyr and it was still decent. Just didn't play any bad games in 2018
