I didn't notice a thread for topics related to ML, AI, or Deep Learning, so I figured I would create one.


Seeing this blog prompted me to look for a relevant place to post here:

At my old job I was working on a deep learning algorithm to hunt through thousands of brain scans to find any networks related to if patients come out of comas or not. Pretty interesting stuff.

 

That's really cool! Any papers come out of that research?

 

Not on that specific study, it was just a pilot study so it has a lot of work. It's also really difficult to find patients to enroll considering the qualifications needed. Hopefully soon though.

I've moved to a molecular biology setting where there are some cool new threads in gene expression and deep learning.
